Overall Satisfaction with Litmus
As a part of our QA process, we use Litmus to test emails that we build for various clients of our agency. It helps us quickly point out issues within our emails and helps us deliver the best user experience. Also, Litmus helps us follow email best practices across the board by highlighting when we are doing something right or wrong regarding things that might flag spam filters, deliverability, engagement, analytics, and more. With Litmus feature "Proofs," we also use it cross-functionally as part of our internal and external review process. It makes it easier to share email proofs and collect feedback/approvals with internal and external stakeholders.
Pros
- Showing how the email will appear across various email clients.
- Litmus proofs feature is great to use to quickly collect/give feedback when you have multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to sync with various ESPs.
- Knowledge building/training sessions with Litmus to learn how to use the platform to best help you get the most out of it.
Cons
- With Litmus proofs, the links are only valid for 30 days. I wish there was an easier way to renew the links without having to click through the proof to do it. Sometimes, I'd have like 30 templates that have links that expire and I would have to click through 30 templates to renew each link.
- It would be nice to have more ESPs available to sync with like Klaviyo for instance.
- Better version control for non ESP sync.
- Litmus saves us time on email development by being able to test our emails across multiple email clients and quickly identify issues with our templates. We also have the platform to help us track and analyze our email results.
It saves time from screen switching and makes it easier to make edits.
It gives us another way to look at our email performance and helps us compare our metrics against other platforms.
Litmus proofs make my life so much easier when it comes to gaining approvals from stakeholders. Not only does it save time skipping other ways of sending proofs, but it also streamlines the reviews/feedback process. Litmus proof is much better than reading a mile worth of reply emails on a thread.
Litmus has features like email tracking, builder, and proofs that set it apart.
