Quick and easy way to produce professional content, some caveats

We used Mailchimp in our organization for sending a communication to a network of program dealers. Each quarter we needed to highlight new aspects of the program and Mailchimp allowed us to effectively and inexpensively reach out to a large distribution list of dealers. The population of dealers was constantly changing, but Mailchimp allowed us to easily manage the population of email addresses.

We only used Mailchimp for email campaign management to one particular subset of dealers. We did not utilize their other offerings.

We learned a lot about what aspects of an email campaign management system are important including population control, slicing and dicing of your population based on different variables, and the need to modify content on a regular basis depending on the population receiving the communication. It is worth spending more money on a solution that makes these aspects very streamlined within your organization.
