It's Mar-KET-Oh, not Market-OH!
Overall Satisfaction with Marketo
Prior to jb&co, I was introduced to Marketo as it was in use by my former employer; when I came on board they handed the Marketo reigns over to me to administer. I became fluent in Marketo and am now a super-user. I advise clients who have Marketo how to maximize the MAS for their audience, to create thoughtful, timely campaigns to targeted, segmented lists. I also help clients structure their campaigns in Marketo and help them with the analytics as well.
Pros
- Support: The community is a great place to find answers; at the same time, if you need 1:1 assistance with an issue, the support team is nothing but professional, prompt and pleasing to work with. I'm a big fan of the Marketo Support Team!
- Delegating Marketo Certifications to super-users in order to continue spreading the advocacy of the MAS is brilliant.
- Differentiating itself from competitors by continuing to listen to customers and improve the UX.... Marketo is the BEST marketing automation platform on the planet.
Cons
- Step by step introductory content could be improved, to help someone green in the world of marketing automation really grasp the concept and thrive. There needs to be a better "plant the seed" moment for new Marketo users.
- Self-help search in the Community can be confusing, where results aren't relevant to the topic at hand.
- Attract the right customers
- Engage and grow customers over time
I have been able to attract more customers for my clients using Marketo because we implement thoughtful, creative marketing campaigns to segmented lists who actually want the type of content we send them. And that has improved retention and repeat sales.
I've used Eloqua, Act-On and Silverpop. I think the user experience and WYSIWYG tools are best in Marketo. And the customer support team is the absolute best in the industry.
