Overall Satisfaction with Marketo

Marketo is used as an email and lead automation platform by my department.
  • Campaign Automation - very good and easy to use platform. Clearly defined filters, smart lists, and flows. Also very robust in logic creation and providing multiple ways to automate processes.
  • Integration with external cloud platforms and databases.
  • RCE + Reporting and Analytics - the level of robustness and autonomy provided in generating insights is truly unique.
  • There's room to provide additional transparency and ease in navigation and determining members within a flow wait step. This is particularly applicable when attempting to review members within a wait step.
  • Email Template Build could be relatively more user-friendly by including drag & drop feature for content block build. Templates could also be a bit more diverse and dynamic similar to Knak.

Product Launches - We created a few outreach campaigns to increase awareness about a newly launched mobile app by nurturing customers about the benefits and different use cases. This, in turn, was aimed at increasing stickiness and driving loyalty to the brand and product offering.
Customer Service - Marketo was used to drive retention and drive customer satisfaction which is rated through NPS scoring.
Marketo is well suited for outbound campaigns to both customer and employee groups as it provides the ability to create tasks & alerts to produce emails for colleagues and simultaneously communicate with customers. Also very applicable in generating insights about outreach campaigns etc.

Hard to think of scenarios where it's not appropriate. However, it'll be nice if UTM tracking and GA analytics could also be condensed into Marketo.
