Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is used in our organization especially to collaborate across multiple teams and took a huge uplift when we all started working from home. We work with 20 (mostly) horizontal teams and are therefore highly dependent on each other, Miro is ideal to create an overview with dependencies. Also, we are using Miro for brainstorming and to understand the complexity of certain products and flows, even now as we are heading back to work in the office - we keep using Miro for these processes. It's perfect to be able to go back after a call and dive into the boards for your own contemplation.
  • create overview of complexity
  • pushing to getting things done mentality instead of discussing endless details in words
  • it's fun to use the Miro boards for complex issues
  • as a visual thinker, Miro has been the go to place for me
  • anchors for fast scrolling
  • 3 d mapping
  • easier drawing mechanism
  • improved working together between cross functional teams
  • improved understanding complex topics for stakeholders
  • being able to create exploded views to explain why IT is more than just 'adding a button
The boards in themselves are pretty good to work with, I feel that Miro should start focusing on broader topics on creating overview in the full suite as it can be hard to navigate and/or find the board you're looking for.
For me, it was pretty easy to integrate as we 'just' started working with Miro and figured it out on the go. That's what makes Miro easy as well, most of the functionalities are easy to find and good to use. Other functionalities are more complex and needed some Googling before I started using them.
Miro impacted our organization to collaborate on new projects massively! Where we used to run our PI events offline we started running them online and it makes it so much easier - especially as you don't have to walk to a board with 100+ stickies to determine dependencies. Now it's just a click of a button away and our offshore teams can also access the boards from abroad.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is - in my opinion - well suited for complex matters as it pushes you to start thinking in an overview. I wouldn't use Miro for creative pursuits as it's too boxy for that.
