Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I use Miro to illustrate my thinking process via mind-maps, ideas, and to keep track of tangents that my research easily integrates with. Its great to have a website to keep these mind-maps secure and to be able to share them with members of my lab or my advisor. The colors, shapes, and inclusion of my own images makes it more fun to use and interactive.
- Very easy editing - from text to shapes to location within the mind-maps
- Easily customizable to make any template your own.
- Provide tons of templates to brainstorm how best to conceptualize and visualize your data or your ideas.
- More shapes to use (alongside the circle, square, rectangle, post-it designs)
- If the mind-map can detect a key word (like, "evolution", or "bacteria", or "BRC Gene" multiple times in your mind-map, then to highlight those boxes or text and suggest using a single or unique colour to uniformly bring them together.
- Improved productivity
- More concise method to communicate a schedule, idea, paper, thought process, etc.
Miro has allowed my advisor and I to share ideas, for my advisor to suggest readings, or images to study, and can be easily edited even for someone that is very new to the website/service.
