Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

As a start-up, we found monday.com was valuable in allowing the leadership team to organise and manage all tasks from business launch through to stabilisation phases. Much of it is intuitive, and it's very user-friendly. Allowed us to get started with no training...although now that we are doing a few more complex things, I do need to go in an brush up my skills. I can see the tool has massive potential, and I'm looking forward to the day when I have enough time (or staff) to really deep dive into its functionality.
  • Publicly visible forms to capture data - very easy to build and create automations.
  • Creating automations to speed up processes, notify relevant parties, modify tables, etc.
  • Tracking of any data set - it's really only limited by your imagination.
  • Recognising the difference between 'boards' and 'apps.' I could be wrong on this as I am not a super user - but there's little discernible difference between the boards vs. apps from 3rd parties. Seems the apps are incredibly powerful and they appear like 'boards' and yet they don't appear where the other boards appear. I'm sure this is more my lack of knowledge with monday.com. Even just different iconography would be helpful to flag that one thing is not like the other.
  • A little annoying in that an automation that sends an email out from my email, also means I get notified of that email. I understand why, but if I wanted to know every time the system sent an email response (from my email), I'd like the option to turn that on/off.

It is 100% intuitive and very easy to use. Deceptively easy! Any growing pains I've experienced have also been quickly resolved by the help team, who are incredible.
Turnaround times from the help desk are great. I didn't know about the customer success manager. I think I need to reach out to them and learn how to use it more effectively. Being very easy to use, I have become lazy in not researching too deeply when I get stuck, so I am 100% I am not using monday.com to the best of its ability.
We've never experienced any downtime on monday.com. It's been very stable for us. My only issue would be some aspects are not mobile-friendly. We have a timetable that we have publicly visible for staff, but on mobile the table doesn't adjust in size, so it's very clunky to use.

I think monday.com is great value for money and have recommended it to a number of family and friends who need help managing projects. Especially for small projects (e.g., NFP, Charities, etc.) as you can have 2 users for free. I'm using a paid version in my consulting role, but I am also looking to use it for my own personal small business as a sole trader. I think if you are planning a project, need a todo list, need to automate organising your todo list or have a easy, beautiful user form that you want to send out monday.com is your friend.
