Overall Satisfaction with Namely

Finally - a scalable resource that has simplicity and scope to help us really make a difference for our employees! Namely has been a lifesaver that has enabled us to get a handle on onboarding, payroll, and employee data. We have just implemented our benefits (open enrollment), and the employee response has been extremely positive (which is a far cry from previous attempts to manage and wrangle paper forms and data transfer requiring time-intensive face-to-face meetings to keep the ball rolling. Timekeeping and exporting into the payroll system is a little tedious on the front end but once complete, the process flows smoothly. If I had it to do over again, I would find Namely sooner and lighten my "crazy load" exponentially!
  • New employee onboarding - easy to set up and simple to use
  • Compensation tracking/updates - synchronizes well with the payroll system to make sure pay is accurately handled.
  • Task Lists for multi-step projects (like onboarding/offboarding) are *so* helpful!
  • Namely Time TCP is a little quirky and does not synchronize bi-directionally with the HRIS.
  • Payroll Reports user-level customization needs a little more attention so that users that know what they need can access data from different sections without having to pay for a custom report.
  • There is no "Onboarding" workflow for re-hires.

  • Time saved for HR processes - extremely beneficial (allows more productivity with less time).
  • Payroll Process time/fewer errors - extremely beneficial.
  • Timekeeping configuration for Supervisors/Managers to access employee records - extremely easy/intuitive.
A few minor hiccups along the way - but the implementation team was very helpful with making sure all of our data was preserved and accurately transferred.
Since I was involved in research, purchase, data migration, implementation, and ongoing use, I feel that I am qualified to say that Namely is not only "easy to use" but is also scalable and will be extremely useful to help us grow as a company and manage/reach our "next level" of HR utilization.
Namely is a great resource for the small-medium size business that needs cross-platform functionality that is easy to use. While very customizable in some areas, there are some limitations that have been frustrating - especially in the reporting functions.
