Overall Satisfaction with ON24

We are currently using ON24 for our virtual webinars and vendor shows. We have used both Hub's and Virtual Environments with ON24 and see the benefits in using both depending on what kind of event you're looking to host. We've hosted one off sessions, webinar series and internal conferences using ON24 and have had much success.
  • Recording sessions is super easy and your library stays with you as long as you have a contract.
  • Teaching others to use the platform is relatively easy and user friendly.
  • There are are a ton of engagement tools that are useful when setting up an event.
  • It's very hard to nail down a contract with ON if you've done your research. We've made a heavy investment and when our contract was up for renewal felt like the ON24 team was not being transparent in how they got to our investment for the upcoming year.
  • We've been able to reach our audience when in person events were not able to be utilized.
Integrate with CRM/marketing automation software
Within a month of the pandemic we had our licenses for ON24 and were on multiple training sessions with the ON24 team. We quickly flipped the switch from Live events to Digital events and within a month of having our licenses pulled off a 5 day event with over 40 sessions.
After a few of us had experience on the platform we were easily able to show others how to set up and create sessions. Now we have a small army of event producers who are able to teach presenters what they need to know in order to get a session up on the platform.
ON24 has a nice interface and is very customizable. It's great if you are trying to do more than just 1 webinar at a time and are trying to do an online conference or series of events. The automatic recording and storage of the sessions is a real game changer.
For pre-recorded and live sessions ON24 is great. Everything automatically records so you don't have to worry about having additional recording software running on your computer. All sessions are automatically archived and available for the term of the contract which is nice.

ON24 and Communications During a Pandemic

Once you get a handful of webinars under your belt you can practically do them in your sleep. There are rarely any technical glitches and ON24 offers support packages if needed. We used to buy support but quickly learned the platform and no longer do so. As you get down the basics it's then very easy to build upon that knowledge and add in extras to your webcast (event consoles).

Using ON24

20 - There are about 20 of us who have licenses for the ON24 platform. We all fall under a Marketing Department and are using the platform for various reasons. We are hosting internal conferences, tabletops, customer facing webinar series events and one off webinars using the platform. For us ON24 has the most robust and engaging webinar console.
20 - Anyone who uses ON24 supports partner events. A few of us have learned how to re-size images but that's about it. For the most part the platform is very easy to use as long as you know how to find and upload files from your computer. There are also a lot of spots where you just fill in the blanks or insert a weblink. We have not had to take any kind of html or graphic training.

  • We will continue hosting our internal conference using the platform going forward. It's much more cost effective than flying all of our Sales people in somewhere for a meeting.
We just renewed our contract for the 1st time after using the platform for a year. We find that even going forward that there is always going to be the need for some kind of virtual events and after shopping out multiple other platforms ON24 was the best for us.

We needed a platform that was going to be easy for us to learn and implement. We only had less than a month to sign a contract and host a very large (500 person) event on the platform with 40+ sessions. We thought that the ON24 platform was the most user friendly from an attendee perspective as well.
I wouldn't change anything. We looked at maybe 10 other platforms in the midst of choosing. Some right off the bat were No's and we might have had 2nd conversations with 2 other virtual events providers but they couldn't host our event on the dates that we needed them for.

ON24 Support

Any issues do get resolved pretty quickly which is good. I'd say that in some cases though our 1:1 webinar support was lacking. There were times where my team felt like they knew more than the support person that we had hired to help on a session. It was really luck of the draw with some of our webinar support folks. Some were fantastic and went above and beyond and some were not so great.

In the beginning of our use of the platform we did purchase premium support for each of our webinars. It certainly helped with peace of mind and was useful in the beginning. After a bunch of webinars though we were able to get up and running ourselves feeling confident in using the platform without the need for additional support.
Initially we had a lot of really big events happening on the platform which was very new to us. We felt very supported by our ON24 team in the early days to get us up and running. We jumped through hoops to get training scheduled in really quickly and additional support was only a phone call or email away. On24 is very big on the client learning and embracing the platform so they can do-it-yourself and in the beginning they really helped us get adjusted and off on the right foot.
