Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We use Paylocity for Recruiting, Onboarding, Time & Labor, Surveys, Community, HR & Payroll. We use Paylocity on a daily basis. Our employees clock-in and out, request days off, check their paystubs, update their information, etc. From the HR side, we keep track of employee documents and events, process employee action forms, update employee benefits/deductions and run payroll. The recruiting and onboarding modules make it really easy to hire new employees. They can complete the majority of their paperwork digitally and the system moves their information seamlessly upon hire.

- Reports - when exported in Excel, they have lots of extra rows that make it hard to sort data
- More personalized customer service would be nice
- Paylocity has made our recruiting and onboarding a breeze. We have reduced hours of training time and wasted paper by switching to Paylocity.
- Paylocity has made communicating with employees quicker and easier.
- Paylocity has made some implementation pieces harder by not truly understanding our needs.
The recruiting and onboarding modules in Paylocity have saved us several hours every time we hire a new group of employees. We used to spend time regurgitating the same information to every new hire, but now we just send them the information through the Paylocity app and they complete it at their own convenience. The payroll process is as automated as it can be. We still have to make manual corrections as needed though.
We don't use the Community module other than posting announcements. We didn't want to have to manage a Facebook-like program, what could be an HR nightmare. Using Community to post announcements has gotten the information to our employees a lot quicker than posting a memo. We have also enjoyed using the Surveys feature, which has been helpful in getting feedback in a timely manner.
- Optimum Solutions HRIS (discontinued)
We moved to Paylocity from Optimum Solutions HRIS. We loved the personalized customer service we got with Optimum. That has been the biggest thing we've missed. While Paylocity has a good customer service set up, it's not personalized. I rarely, if ever, get ahold of our acctual account manager when we have issues. Paylocity is up with technology and is very user friendly.
