Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

Use it for payroll, HRIS, use less paper, electronic time keeping, open enrollment

Pros

  • keeps track of employee info
  • works OK with Clear Company

Cons

  • employees have difficulty knowing how to use Paylocity to request time off
  • open enrollment is pain full process every year, this year the mandatory spreadsheet had cells the were not set up to calculate as they should have been, we had to figure it out on our own. Paylocity would keep getting wrong rates in open enrollment field. Unable to work with a 20 week payroll process, spread sheet not flexible enough, lots of Manuel entry
  • reporting writing is not user friendly, there are better ways to set this up. I have taken the training 3 times, still can't set up a new report
  • better than paper time cards

We spend more time wondering how we can fix Paylocity to suit our needs
We don't use the video or survey options. You video comes online to slow, we need to start training before we have filled ALL the pages of data Paylocity requires before someone is officially hired. Perhaps if information flowed form screen to screen, it would not take so much to hire or make changes in Paylocity

getting help is very frustrating, I have to ask myself is the a service question or a benefit question. Oh, sorry you have to ask service I can't help you with that issue. I want one help ticket address, you guys figure it out on your end, it's all benefits to me. Sure. it easy on your end, you live it every day. I just want a quick answer. Not having to submit the same issue twice, it's all benefits to me. Every feature has an extra cost, if I can get more for the same or less cost, you guys are gone. I can't run weekly payroll data, only biweekly, both state workers comp and unemployment want pay data by the week, not bi-weekly. again more stuff done by hand. Every time someone goes from part year to full year status, Paylocity canceled there benefits, causing them to have to re-enroll in benefits. took us over a year to get this fixed, after you guys told us twice it was fixed when it was not. Can't run a FMLA leave use report because we do not have the enhanced version, didn't know such a thing existed until a few months ago. Extra for a basic FMLA report, a federally required benefit??
