Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
Paylocity was selected as our solution when we were looking for a new HRIS platform back in July 2021. Previously, we were on Quickbooks which was really just for payroll and everything else was managed on spreadsheets. We wanted a system that would take us to the next level and offer an employee portal. The system also had to interface with an ERP. We ended up going with a stand-alone timekeeping solution, as Paylocity's tool was not robust enough for our project tracking needs, and Paylocity for everything else. We initially started with payroll, learning and onboarding, and have since added Benefits and Performance Management.
- System makes sense and is easy to use.
- Payroll can be done in a breeze.
- Easy, clean employee portal.
- Customer service and problem resolution are super lacking. No dedicated customer service rep. Sure, I have one by name, but I have never actually talked to him. Problems get handed off from rep to rep and take way too long to resolve.
- Performance Management is not very customizable. It would work well if you only wanted one review for the entire company. But we want a review by department and by job level, and Paylocity's system is not flexible enough.
- Timekeeping- need to be able to code time to a project.
- It's great that you added safety training, but now we have to pay extra if we want access. We are already paying a ton for the LMS system, and more free content should be included.
- More accessible information for managers and employees.
- Reduced payroll processing time.

Benefits open enrollment has been automated and saved our employee's and administrator's time. Looking to better utilize performance management to facilitate tracking of reviews. Sadly, timekeeping doesn't work for our organization so more time is expended there than less.
Very little. Our workforce is hourly and production, and it has been a big ask for our workforce to become comfortable with the technology. Over time, I hope to roll out more tools and programs to increase engagement.
At initial selection, Paylocity beat out Bamboo, ADP, and SuitePeople. Paylocity was the most robust and user-friendly platform, and it provided a lot of gains. I am currently evaluating Paylocity to UKG.
