Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity for time and management. Employees use the mobile app to punch in/out, it manages the PTO/Sick leave and processes payroll. It downloads the timeclock information to facilitate payroll. It also integrates with HRIS system (EASE) for payroll deductions. It integrates with Empower too for our 401(k) plan.

  • Ability to narrow down PTO/Sick requests (delete 1/2 hour requests)
  • Mobile timecard recordkeeping allowed us to eliminate the in-house punch machine and for employees to work a hybrid system
  • Time off (sick/pto) tracking eliminated need for Excel spreadsheet
  • Employee satisfaction in that they can view their payroll online and make changes
They've been very helpful. Need to fine-tune it more. For instance, if an employee forgets to clock out, they could send a message alerting the employee. I have to send them emails.
Not much. We're under 50 EE's and they all know each other. They don't view and use Community, etc.

It does a good job on timeclock recordkeeping and PTO/Sick Leave.

It's lacking on CFRA for the 'under 50 EE's' in California. They have a FMLA, but California's CFRA is different and I don't have confidence in their tracking.

Yes - To my knowledge, it's never been resolved. I was aghast that it happened actually. If an employee changed their tax withholding, it would show their current withholding on all previous paychecks. It didn't 'keep' the tax withholding at that time. This was when looking online. It's why I kept the paper copy. They could have fixed it, but last time I checked, they had not.

Using Paylocity

It's timecard/recording keeping is great. Processing payroll, however, is not intuitive. I always need to look at my old notes.
They could do better on CFRA tracking.
