Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity for the following: Payroll, Time and Labor, HR Edge, Onboarding, Recruiting, Expense Module, Flexible spending accounts, commuter benefits, sexual harassment training, performance reviews, attaching all related payroll documents, and Data Insights.

Data Insights is extremely helpful regarding the easy to use charts and quickly access key performance indicators.

  • Not being able to make changes to a role without having to go through Paylocity
  • Onboarding has reduced the paperwork that managers had previously had to take care of and payroll had to manually enter. This has significantly reduced hours of work and reduced errors.
  • Data insights creates reports that are very easy to view and give quick insights. This again reduces hours of work on management.
  • The ease of use for uploading payroll is minutes instead of hours at other companies. Overall, a huge time saver.
This has reduced hours of manual tedious work. Payroll used to take 8-16 hours at my previous workplace. Here, it only takes a few hours. Most of those are just clearing up some reconciliation errors. Overall, the process is very easy and streamlined.
Recently, our employees have started using Community and Impressions. This has only happened in the last month, but it seems that the employees are starting to recognize the work of others so we are excited that they are more engaged. We are hoping to encourage this in the future.
I was very familiar with Payroll Systems. It's modules were not as seamlessly connected so it took a lot more work. Paylocity is very straightforward and easy to use. I would recommend Paylocity over Payroll Systems.

I also used Paychex for a short time. It caused a huge amount of problems and implementation was horrific. We switched back after 6 payrolls.

Paylocity has many items that you can choose to use or not use depending on your situation. This can be overwhelming for a new administrator or trying to get different approvals. It is also great for those that do not need all the modules or just want to dip their toes. When I came on, we only had the basic modules open. I have since added most of the other modules.
