Overall Satisfaction with Procore
Procore is used by our foreman, our field superintendent, and project managers for the day today activities of daily notes, pictures, RFIs, and submittals. Our whole organization is using Procore. The business problems it addresses is the turnaround on submittals so our subcontractors can get quicker responses which means getting the jobs done sooner. It also addresses the communication between the field and the office staff so they can see up-to-date pictures, reports, and RFIs.
- The drawings tool provides the correct and up-to-date drawings at all times for all staff on site and in the office so the project is getting built correctly.
- RFIs are able to be made off the drawings tool with an attachment of pictures reflected of the drawings which speeds up the process of getting RFIs answered.
- The daily recording of notes and pictures so all team members can track the jobs closely.
- The drawings tool would be nicer if overlaying of details could be done.
- The ability to add an addendum to an existing specification so you could edit the text and add in new addendums to the spec book.
- The availability of marking photos after they are already in a album.
- We have been able to do more work with less staff which results in less money towards the focus of different aspects of running a project with better equipment or tools.
- We have been able to eliminate hard drive disk space due to everything being on the cloud which is a safer option.
- We now have up to date information on all jobs for the entire management to look at to make sure items are getting missed on projects and allowing us to answer questions on projects quicker which illuminates some of the overhead cost of prolonging a project due to slow responses.
We have not tried any other software. When we originally picked procore, we looked at the other options of software and they didn't compare at that time.
