Overall Satisfaction with Procore

Procore is being used throughout our project management operations at Suffolk. We utilize nearly all the features of Procore from Document Control to Financials. We periodically engage with Procore's development engineers (an eager bunch!) to suggest enhancements to make the product even better. Love the open dialogue! Procore allows for that one software solution for many items related to construction management; mobile tool access and an easy user interface that allows for collaboration across all our trade partners, owners, and clients. From a training point of view, in which I am heavily invested in, it is a very easy software to train on, has a great support system and is being embraced by our employees and clients.
  • Financial - Crosslinking Change Events, PCOs, Change Orders and the Budget works great. Very easy to find detailed information to make accurate and quick decisions.
  • Document Control - The drawings tool and specifications tool allows for easy access to the most critical information in the field via your phone. Beats carrying a roll of drawings around!
  • Procore Drive - easy to drop any files into Procore, control access to sensitive information and share through Procore emails.
  • Procore needs to improve on the Photos tool by allowing of thumb nail edits in a more streamlined way (similiar to the old way they had photos set up with the database feel)
  • Procore could better workflows with RFIs. It is by far the biggest complaint I find due to only being able to assign an RFI to one reviewer at a time. Too much additional management is required to keep the RFi logs up to date with BIC.
  • Procore reporting engine needs some modernization. We need to be able to have more customization and more advanced reporting features.
  • Procore could use a shared calendar feature. If it wants to be a one stop shop I feel having a Job Site delivery calendar or conference room calendar would be a big enhancement to being one tool.
  • Employee engage surveys stated that employees want a one tool solution, Procore provides for most of that. After seeing Procore does, people want more.
We reviewed many other softwares (PM Web, Trimble, ProLog, Contract Manager, etc.) at the time of piloting Procore. Procore's tools offered the best UI, the fields that we needed (not excessive fields we wouldn't use), minimal customization (better experience for our clients throughout the country), and general ease of use (easier to train the system, more fluid movements).
Procore is well suited for construction projects for a general contractor. The tools offered in the program directly apply to building. For an owner's view, having a general contractor enter information into their Procore project and then the general contractor enter the same info into a general contractor project is counter-productive. Procore should arrange for the program to have an owner Procore side and a general contractor Procore side.
