Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Procure is being used in our organization to track employee time by individual cost codes. We also use it to maintain the project schedule, track project documents, and drawing revisions.

Alternatives Considered

PlanGrid

PlanGrid charges by the user and by the sheet, it's more expensive than Procore, but plan mark up is easier. But it does not do everything Procore is capable of doing.

Collaboration Benefits

We are a subcontractor using to track information for our own purposes. The GCs and owners that we deal with don't like us using it to hold them accountable. Our suppliers won't use it.

Return on Investment

We are still early in the whole process and trying to get complete buy-in. We hope that it will give us a better handle on our true labor costs. If we can use it to get our labor numbers more in line with our budgeted hours, it will pay for itself tenfold.

Timesheets and budgets will help us track budgeted to actual labor hours to identify our deficiencies so we can improve and become more competitive and profitable.

Ease of Integration

Field staff nd older office staff are not as willing to learn new processes.

Procore is great for accessing project documents while away from the office. It is also very convenient in viewing and marking up drawings while on site using the mobile app. Workers can keep accurate daily logs and perform project equipment inspections. The entire project is accessible in one place, including project emails, photos, logs and time sheets.
