Overall Satisfaction with Procore
It's being used throughout the company. It centralizes all of our documents an makes them accessible to all of our employees, in or out of the office. It allows us to disseminate information seamlessly to subcontractors. We are able to manage our RFI's and CO's with ease and document those changes to ensure total understanding on the part of the receiving party.
Pros
- Comparing drawing versions is very simple.
- Creating RFI's and CO's is quick and easy.
- All files are backed up and retained.
- User management is simple.
- They are proactively adding new feature.
- Their support is excellent.
Cons
- It's a bit pricey.
- Additional modules are an added expense.
- Projects on phones can use a lot of cell data if you're not on WiFi.
- Saved time and gas to come and get drawings.
- Saved paper.
- Increased visibility and project history.
Procore is a more cohesive system the allows use all of the versatility we need to manage our projects. Other options that we looked at didn't seem to have the same streamlined processes and require us to take a larger role in forcing end-users to comply with company policies instead of the system enforcing those policies.
- Gain visibility into projects
- Ensure information is accessible and up to date
- Document job site conditions
- Report on incidents and inspections
- Identify job site risks
Procore retains a history of all of the drawing versions and files to help maintain visibility on projects. It makes it easy to report job conditions as well as safety inspections that stay with the job automatically. Once you add files and markups on the app in the field it's automatically available on the site in the office.
Collaboration is the main reason we chose Procore and even saw any need for a document management system. Its ability to share documents and information quickly is a great strength. One issue that Procore is currently working out is how Subcontractors and GC's that both have Procore are able to work on their own and only give the required access and information desired instead of one or the other.
