Overall Satisfaction with Procore

We use Procore to manage all of our construction projects in our CIP. So, on a daily basis, that largely involves submittals, RFIs, pay apps, change orders, and coordinating work between the construction team and the operations teams who need to continue to keep our facilities operational.

  • Should add ability to add videos, not just photos
  • Manage more jobs with the same people
  • Keep everyone apprised of what's going on
  • Get input from the right people on issues
More and more, we're getting people who have had lots of experience with Procore, so when they see us (a government agency) using Procore, it helps bring them in. Whereas government entities can be slow and bureaucratic, our use of Procore in construction demonstrates the opposite: that we're using modern tools to be as efficient and productive as possible.
I've used eDocs and E-Builder in the past, and they were so ancient, and cumbersome. They were painful to use. Procore has an advantage because it's a newer company, built on a more modern tech stack, so they're aren't encumbered by old technology. They iterate ALL the time, and continuously improve their products.

For any construction project worth more than, say, $100k, Procore makes the whole process more seamless, efficient and well-coordinated. For jobs smaller than that, I've found that the work involved in setting up the project often makes it more painful than it's worth. With that said, you can limit your setup by only using some of the tools on the project.
