Overall Satisfaction with QuickBase

In my previous role we used quickbase to keep track of legal documents, specifically in the legal department and not across the whole organization. It helped us to keep track of which items we needed to follow up for and which were completed and was a great tool for categorizing documents into various reports.
  • Provides and generates detailed reports based on whichever filters you decide are most important
  • Keeps document libraries organized
  • Is easy to learn for beginners
  • Inability to physically upload documents
  • Could provide document storage
  • Would be nice to be able to export document libraries to word or excel (this may be an option I am just unaware of)
We definitely maintain files better with quickbase, even just through the ability to print out a report and use it to compare with a hard copy file or documents in a computer library.
Have not used any other products besides QuickBase.
I am no IT person or overly computer literate, but I found it extremely easy to learn to use QuickBase and even learned about how to use specific functions and applications on QuickBase with no assistance or training. The database is extremely simple to use, straight-forward, clean and very easy to read. I don't think it requires any help from IT personnel, however building the application itself is a time-consuming task.
  • Improving collaboration across one or more teams
  • Solving a specific business challenge
For our purposes, we really just needed to be able to see all data and documents in our library, no matter who had input them and was most familiar with the particular library.
I have never done this
Well suited for anyone looking to keep track of a portfolio of documents, great for categorizing, and even just a good tool for people who like lists. Would not really be helpful for a role where you do not need to keep track of documents, in my opinion.
