Overall Satisfaction with QuickBase
QuickBase is being used for project management including test management (test cases, test results, and defects). It is being used currently by a department. It helps with faster and uniform communication of project data.
- Very intuitive to train new users.
- Very fast, access from anywhere, quick and robust reports.
- For admins, it is very easy to set up a new app and customize according to department's needs.
- In the summary report, a sorting option for the data columns is currently not available (need to have different logic to achieve it).
- Had to do lots of customization to give log/history view (who changed and when), since I had to keep the field that is being modified separately from showing the history of edits done to the field.
- The dynamic form rules can be intuitive.
- Not able to control the time when subscriptions are generated and emailed.
This is the one area where I really loved QuickBase. I am not a programmer. But I was able to quickly customize the app to handle test management (test case storage, test result, defect management). Even when there is a problem like (I want to do build a button which will do some additional actions - like adding a comment, changing the value in the drop down and finally save the record), I was able to refer to the QuickBase community support and able to get the solution. Since you can extend the app, you can test something in the test app, before marking changes to the production app.
- Improving collaboration across one or more teams
I needed a QuickBase app to maintain the tasks outside our regular enterprise QuickBase app. I searched for the existing app and I found one. Then I was able to customize within 2 hours to suit my need. QuickBase is so easy to customize. The community support is great. I got lots of answer by browsing the community support.
