Easy to use, scalable and a great value

We use QuickBooks Online for inventory, creating orders, invoicing, billing, financial reporting and sales reporting. We needed an online service which can be used simultaneously by sales, accounting, operations and other users. We also needed integration of products and inventory available with our online ecommerce store (Shopify). QuickBooks Online provided this solution and much more. What is lacks is the ability to create sales orders which can then convert to invoices after they ship. The estimate feature is not appropriate for that.

Set-up was not difficult. However, I do recommend you hire a QB certified pro to help if you are completely new. It is a lot of work undoing something you thought was done right, vs doing it right from the outset. I used QB Desktop many year ago, and must say QBO is much more user friendly and easy to grasp.

Everyone in my company works remotely (from home). Having a cloud based system for handling day to day operations is a must. Sometimes 4 or more associates are in QBO at the same time doing different things. I downloaded the mobile app, but must say, I don't use it much. The expense reporting and receipt upload feature did not work as advertised. They need to work on that.

Our unique industry needs are based on buying inventory and selling it. Mostly to resellers but also direct off our website. Having the QBO inventory management system built in and connectable to our Shopify webstore makes a big difference.
