Quickbooks is the accounting standard for small businesses. The information from Quickbooks is used by everyone within the company. Keeping financial records is required for any business and Quickbooks is a simple way to do so.
- Quickbooks is the standard and it does well to run reports and export them over various time periods and so on.
- Sharing information with others and working with others is easy because of its ubiquity and people's familiarity with it.
- Importing information from bank accounts is simple with banks that support file downloads in the supported format.
- It would be better if Quickbooks integration with bank accounts was seamless
- Quickbooks does not have features like ratio analysis built into the software
- It has not created any ROI, it fills a need.
There is limited competition for a small business. The desktop version is something that in the long-term Quickbooks may want to phase out in favor of its online version. But the desktop version is more robust and cost-effective when using it for many years.
