Overall Satisfaction with Renaissance Accelerated Math
We use Accelerated Math to help supplement our current curriculum. It provides us with the opportunity to provide enrichment for those students who quickly master skills in the traditional curriculum. It also provides for the chance to provide remediation for those students who are struggling with previously taught skills and concepts.
Pros
- Self-directed learning for the student.
- Quick feedback for the student.
- Provides additional practice when needed.
Cons
- Multiple formats of questions so it does not become stale.
- Repetitive in nature, which can cause students to lose interest.
- Our students have made tremendous gains in the mastery of skills.
- Our classes are showing growth way beyond what we saw when using our standard curriculum alone.
- Once it is set up and students are comfortable with it, they are able to use it as a self-directed learning station.
Having used programs such as FrontRow, Moby Max, and iXL, we prefer Accelerated Math as it ties in with our STAR testing and state testing performance targets. We like that students are able to work on it with little direction from the teacher once it is set up. We also appreciate the ability and ease to track student performance and growth within the program.

Evaluating Renaissance Accelerated Math and Competitors
- Product Features
- Product Usability
- Existing Relationship with the Vendor
It works well with our other Renaissance programs and provides familiarity for our teachers to be more willing to use it and be able to understand the reports and progress.
We would definitely follow the same process and choose Accelerated Math again.
