Overall Satisfaction with RUN Powered by ADP®
We have not taken advantage of many of the HR features offered by RUN Powered by ADP. We do have plans to utilize the Handbook Wizard in the next year as ours is woefully outdated. We have used the HR HelpDesk quite a bit and have been very pleased with the ease of use, the knowledge base, and the follow-through of the agents we've worked with.
As a small business, we don't have a full HR/Accounting department as there is no need. RUN Powered by ADP helps us use our time more efficiently and effectively by providing tools we wouldn't otherwise have at our fingertips. It's almost like having an extra employee.
- Keeps accurate payroll data for employees as well as the business
- Provides 24/7 access to employees for their personal needs
- Keeps us informed of changes in the laws/regulations/rules pertaining to hiring, minimum wage, etc.
- Submits wages reports to Federal and State authorities
- Helps us find answers to questions regarding hiring out-of-state employees (remote workers).
- Pre-packaged reports could be improved. Our previous payroll provider had standard (canned) Quarterly and Year-End Reports. I couldn't find any on RUN and had to make up my own, which took some time. I had to pull reports from previous quarters/years from the other provider to figure out what I needed. While having the ability to customize reports is great, I feel that more "standard" packages could be offered.
- When starting a ticket, I don't need to be emailed about my own updates to the ticket. I did that. I know I did that. Stop sending emails regarding my updates. I only need to be notified when someone from ADP updates my ticket.
- By using RUN Powered by ADP for our payroll and related tasks, we free up the owners'/managers' time. This allows them to do more work directly related to clients, which increases our billable time, which has a huge impact on our bottom line. As a small business, this is essential.
The Employee Access portal offered by RUN by ADP is essential to our business. Being a small firm, the Office Manager is a part-time position. When employees are conducting personal business such as making a large purchase, they need access to their payroll information. The Employee Access portal puts this at their fingertips and they don't have to wait for the Office Manager to fulfill their requests. This also frees up the Office Manager to take care of other tasks.
Looking at the features offered (even if we don't utilize them all), we felt that RUN Powered by ADP was a better value for us. We liked the idea of having the support of a well-tenured business at our fingertips. Other payroll providers do not have the longevity or the scope of service that RUN Powered by ADP offers. We wanted a payroll service provider that not only we had confidence in, but also one that our employees felt comfortable with and could trust.
