Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

We use the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Dashboard and Reports [modules] for tracking our expenses and uploading and integrating our revenue from other systems. We are now able to give our budget managers more information with the drill down and the file attachment features and eventually more tools to manage their budget. The automated features of Sage Intacct are helping the accounting department be more efficient and to cut the monthly close. We’re only 4 months into Sag Intacct; we are still learning, but we like what we see so far.
  • The software is really good and well thought out. Intacct appears to be in tune to their customer and really update on changes that they recommend. Their customer service team is very responsive.
  • They have a really good partner with Clifton Allen Larson which really understood our needs and helped us implement the system. CLA’s team really was knowleddgeable of the capabilities of the software and matched it to our needs.
  • The built in reports, 990 and audit report formats is very useful for not for profits. The Dashboard and performance cards have lots of flexibility.
  • Some very large reports, with multiple cost centers, have a long time to run. You can store and run but not always practical.
  • Bank reconciliations are doable but somewhat difficult to navigate. Looking forward to new release , which was announced and demo in the Advantage conference this year. The added tools look promising.
  • Were only 4 months into this system. We hope the access to information quicker will add value to the decisionmaking.
So far our budget managers seem to be satisfied with the ability to get the information almost immediatetly. The legacy system could not.
Not looking at that currently. But could look into the future, time and expense and project accounting.
The softwares capabilities seem to allow flexibility in integrations.
Sage Intacct seemed like a better fit for us as it is a very well integrated system. The others had too many moving parts, like separate report writer. Others we had concerns with depth of support . Sage Intacct has a strong partner with CLA to make implementation hassel free.
If you have a good sectioned chart of accounts and well mapped organizational budget tree will help you with the implementation. Being cloud-based helps users access it at any time. Also helps in converting to a paperless system (almost). Lots of flexibility to choose modules that you use now or develop later. The software is intuitive and quite easy to learn.
