Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

Currently, I use Sage Intacct to help other nonprofit clients with their Sage Intacct accounting software and applications. I help them get through issues that they may struggle with to make their lives easier, to help their organizations, and to continue their missions. I use the demo system to figure out the best instances in various cases.
  • I like the ability to import journal entries and transactions from the company section.
  • It is user friendly when it comes to posting AP and AR transactions.
  • It has a wonderful help and support section within the applications.
  • You can create custom dimensions.
  • It is not consistent across all the applications--some may have a functionality and some may not.
  • I would like them to put the idea section in the community to better use.
  • I would like the ability to create better custom templates for invoicing, such as for detailed and subtotaled together instead of separately.
  • Sage has helped make it easier to track projects and funders.
  • Sage does not have any payroll capability
  • Sage makes it easier for audit risk control such as permissions-based users.
Sage is easy to use and understand for the most part. It is like all systems and it does make accounting easier and makes it harder to make a mistake directly on the general ledger. It could be consistent across all applications and update some applications to have a better look in the UI. They have been doing a good job at making it user friendly.
Sage support usually takes about 24 hours to get a response, but if it has to go to engineering, it usually takes about a week due to the fact they have to read and rewrite the code. They are dependable as far as knowing the system and how it is intended to operate.
Yes, the automation of the accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions helps lessen human error and makes it easier to receive payments and pay bills. It also helps keep track of the financials to create reports that would go to the boards. The automation makes life easier for organizations.

Do you think Sage Intacct delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Sage Intacct's feature set?

Yes

Did Sage Intacct live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Sage Intacct go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Sage Intacct again?

Yes

Sage Inacct is more user friendly and can take more transactions than MIP. Sage is also cloud-based where MIP is not and it is harder to keep it updated with the best version. Sage is just a more up-to-date version of the MIP software and helps us work remotely.
Sage Intacct is good software for organizations with a high volume and complexity of transactions and accounting. It is great for nonprofits. It also has great integration options with other software. You can create different workflows and permissions for each department or project of the organization, which helps with the financials.
