Overall Satisfaction with SAP HANA

We use HANA for native application as well as Business Warehouse Scale-out solution. Native HANA has been used in Global Function.
  • Native HANA used for ERS solution.
  • HANA is used in downstream well management of petroleum production.
  • HANA used for reporting.
  • Too frequent maintenance revisions.
  • Product maturity matrix on downside - all deployed HANA use case have more than 200 bugs to fix.
  • XS engine is not stable.
  • Positive side is high-volume calculations become faster.
  • Too many outages happen due to regular maintenance.
  • Some of the transactions run after which was not working on ECC.
For in-memory databases, we only evaluated SAP HANA database.
This is in-memory database which integrates enterprise solution provided by SAP. This helps a lot in reducing data size and aggregation layer.

Real-time scenario-related business process works well. High-volume data calculation is faster. Predictive feature yet to be more accurate.
