Overall Satisfaction with Scale Computing Platform
We currently use it at our two primary locations, and it is an upgrade to our existing on-prem infrastructure. We were not happy with Hyper-V and didn't have the business justification for buying intricate VMWare licenses, and the ESXi with the free license is limited. We are currently replacing aging hardware but wanted availability, redundancy, and replication.
- Customer Service is top notch and they have real concern for customer needs.
- Technical assistance/setup is excellent and knowledge base is thorough.
- Ultra-responsive sales and support team that can get through highly improbable challenges.
- Possibly more engineers/techs due to scheduling being very tight timeframes.
- There were features I wasn't aware of till a year after (example some API capabilities).
I run my domain controllers as well as DHCP/DNS in both locations. Our West Texas location uses SQL servers and it runs them with no effort. We don't run production apps in our IT environment so I cannot speak further to that.
- The ROI has been great. We don't struggle, and our original intended product before Scale was a Dell VxRail setup that was a struggle to get Dell to want to sell us what we wanted.
- Dell VxRail, HPE Greenlake, Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) and VMware ESXi
Price was outstanding, and competitive equipment wasn't an issue due to them using various brands and models. Sales reps were responsive, professional, and jumped through time hurdles with ease. Partnership with Acronis is a huge benefit, and the Carbonite license to move VMS is a huge plus.
