Overall Satisfaction with Sigma Computing
Sigma is used as a self-service business intelligence tool across the company. It has taken a lot of load off the data analyst since we started using it, as people are able to get a lot of their own data and do their own data exploration.
- Easy to use for new people, we currently just give access and let people use it.
- Json extract is a super useful tool.
- Really bad on mobile.
- The self service allows data analyst to focus on ETL and getting more data available.
- Data analyst doing analyst work vs data retrieval.
The benefit is more time for data analysts to do analysis work or work on ETL that makes more data available. End users have been able to do a lot of exploring on there own without taking the time of a data analyst. This was often not the case.
Parameters have been used to change the information in dashboards that users often need to change.
I am not familiar with this being used very much, but as one who supports others, the ease of sharing has made helping others with questions much easier.
