Overall Satisfaction with Skype for Business

We use it to chat and train with employees located overseas- location such as (Latin America & India). Working with colleagues overseas, it is easier to instantly link with the person than to write it in a email. The chat/messenger section is simple like any other chat service. Skype is selectively used in some departments, not throughout the organization.
  • Signing on is quick
  • Great to "lync" calls
  • Shows the individual status - online, inactive or away
  • It is difficult to install and use on iphones, definitely not mobile friendly! it is important that I have access to this on my laptop AND cellphone.
  • Nt is sometime slow and needs to be more responsive. Not smooth, lots of hang ups.
  • The messages are stored on your Outlook. With the amount of interactions we do on Skype, we do not need to keep the history stored in our email.
  • By conducting web training and meetings via Skype, it cuts down national and international travel expenses.
It is very convenient for our company to use Skype for Business to conduct meetings and trainings. It also allows us to stay in constant (and instant) contact with colleagues/offices overseas.
It lags sometimes, wish it was faster and smoother. It needs to be redesigned to be compatible on iPhones.
