Overall Satisfaction with Slack

We use Slack as our primary inter team communication tool. We have integrated a number of the platforms that easily work within the tool as well as the in-platform call feature. We have created channels where we can communicate product or department specific information. We have a variety of social channels as well where we can share music, choices and lately, photos and ideas on how we are coping with the work from home status. My favorite feature is the ability to easily search issues or items. Other similar tools don't have such robust features like this so it helps me quickly see if my issue has come up.
  • Channels (specific groups)
  • Integration
  • In-platform calls
  • History
  • Customization (some limitations)
  • Easy ability to collaborate remotely.
  • Slack integrates many tools we use.
  • Slack's search functions help track old data easily.
The integration tools within Slack are easy to use and can quickly be added. I find that sharing documents, videos, and other resources is really easy. I don't have to do any special customization in order to use all the features in Slack, it just lets me add apps, or join channels. I can also easily use on my phone.
I don't need to be very technical to use the Slack or to integrate tools into Slack. Adding an app (integration) is seamless and the platform walks me through the process. I can communicate with my colleagues quickly either with chat or by using the call feature to phone them. If I ever have a product question, I can quickly go to one of our product channels and search for related questions or pose a question that our experts monitor. These features have made me more effective in my day and in managing my customer base.

Do you think Slack delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Slack's feature set?

Yes

Did Slack live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Slack go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Slack again?

Yes

We have a remote work environment as well as several international offices. We needed a tool that allowed us to communicate among individuals, teams and different parts of the organizations (Product, Support, etc). By using Slack, we can easily share information, create unique channels to share data and then integrate many other tools that we regularly use. The in platform phone allows us to easily call one another as well.

Using Slack

499 - Every department in our company uses Slack-Everything from HR, Sales, Customer Success, Pre-sales, Finance, Management, Product. We have 100's of channels across the organization and use it to communicate with and through those channels. We also have channels specific to our different locations globally to share information relevant to those locations.
2 - I honestly do not know for sure. We have two IT people in our company that support these types of systems and assume that they also manage Slack. However, I do not know the true number
