Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor
We use SolarWinds to keep track of network performance and to be immediately aware of any hardware failures.
- Monitoring of equipment heartbeats.
- Helping to find network bottlenecks and performance issues.
- Keeping me aware of general system health, hard drive space, ram usage etc.
- Make it easier to remove alerts on ports that were intentionally turn off \ unplugged. When I remove equipment from a switch it is given an alert and I have to jump through hoops to tell it to stop reporting it as an error.
- I can address issues very quickly often before my end users can tell me they have an issue.
- SolarWinds has given me the ability to see into my network at any given moment to look for bandwidth.
SolarWinds is widely used by my other colleagues in education and it was also recommended by an outside consultant group we use. SolarWinds has a strong community as well so all those factors played a large part in my selection of SolarWinds.
