Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor
SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor (SAM) is used in a small group in our corporation. We use it to monitor servers and storage in the content production group.
- Monitors on Prem and Cloud Assets
- Easy to configure alerts
- Wide variety of templates and applications it can monitor out of the box.
- Deployment is pretty easy but could be simplified.
- Integration with other SolarWinds products could improve.
- SAM has simplified our monitoring solution freeing up engineer time to work on other things.
- The speed to resolution to an issue has also increased.
Monitoring solutions are usually tricky to install, confgure and maintain. SAM is easy in all of those aspects. It is not super hard to configure or set up and day-to-day operation is simple as well. It is also nice that it is back by a company with a very good support staff if you run in to problems they can help.
