Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

Tim James, our dedicated rep is extremely responsive and knowlegeable. I appreciate how quickly he responds and the individual attention I get. If my particular issue or question is out of his scope, he makes sure I have the resources I need by referring me to another department. If Tim is not available (which is rare), anyone else on the customer service line is always willing and able to help me.
Because for the most part, the offerings, benefits and resources available are very helpful. We have good benefits options. I do wish the website was easier to use but hopefully this will be remedied with the new site. And when I occasionally have to do something out of the ordinary in payroll (for example, add bonuses), the dedicated rep feature helps so much. Tim is always there to walk me through a new process or email me specific instructions. This is extremely valuable to me.
We are a small startup and use TriNet primarily for benefits, payroll and HR compliance. With TriNet we are able to keep costs down and tap into a network of experts. TriNet also keeps us updated on HR laws and regulations. The payroll reporting is also useful for our annual audit and is easy for our Accounting Dept to use.

  • The new website is more user-friendly but there is still a learning curve.
  • During open enrollment, it should have be obvious that certain features on the beta site were not yet operational. It was confusing and wasted time to discover that what I was trying to do was not doable on the new site.
  • We rely on TriNet for HR compliance which saves us money not having to outsource this.
  • TriNet reduces administrative tasks significantly which saves time, money and energy.
  • Our industry is all about automation so TriNet onboarding process is compatible with our company values.
TriNet is suited for small companies that don't have the budget or bandwidth for an entire HR/Payroll dept. The new hire onboarding process is extremely intuitive and very easy. The automated email onboarding frees up the HR rep and puts the control in the hands of the new hire to make sure they comply with all required documentation. The instructions in the email are also well written. The reminders are also extremely helpful to keep the process on track.
