Overall Satisfaction with TrustRadius for Buyers
I'm actually not responsible for buying at my company, but I do provide feedback to other departments regarding the technology that we use. I first learned of TrustRadius via an e-mail requesting that I review a software that my company uses. I frequently check for user reviews when making any purchase decision, so I was happy to share my honest experiences with others via TrustRadius.
- To see what other users think of the product I am currently using
I enjoy reading reviews from other users to see whether they see the same strengths and weaknesses in products I am using. Sometimes I gain new information on a feature I didn't even know existed! Since I work for a medical IT company, I also liked being able to see what users said about our products as well as those of our competitors.
I like reviews that are detailed and well-worded. When something works well, I like to see specifics on what has worked well and what impact it has made. When things are not so great, I like to see a complete explanation of the problem so I can determine whether that same problem might be an issue for me, or whether that's something that can be overlooked or weighed against the pros.
As stated before, I always refer to reviews during the buying process and I am wary of reviews that appear to be "fake" or otherwise solicited in a way that made the user feel they had to give a positive review. I do not get this impression at all from TrustRadius - I see a fair mix of positive and constructive feedback in the reviews shown.
- I like that reviews come from a variety of sources.
- I like the review questions - they really encourage the reviewer to go in-depth about what works and what doesn't, and what kind of impact a product has had. They delve into the key areas that people need to make an informed and confident decision.
- TrustRadius is very clean and simple to navigate.
- TrustRadius seems to still be in the beginning stages in gathering data, so some products I look at have only one or two reviews. I have more confidence in seeing a product that has multiple reviews, whether they be positive, negative or in-between. But I think in time, the company will build this up. They seem to be doing a good job reaching out to users of various products to get their input since that’s how they found me!
- I honestly don't have any other recommendations for improvement at this time.
LinkedIn is a great resource for getting product information and feedback as well, and I am part of a specialized Facebook group that discusses products relevant to our business as well.
My experience with TrustRadius is similar to my experience on other review sites. Nothing in particular stood out to me other than the e-mails I received that felt warm and personal. They encouraged me to participate in giving reviews myself, which I did.
