Overall Satisfaction with TrustRadius for Vendors

We started using TrustRadius a few months ago, and when I joined I was tasked with leading the effort and ensuring we are using it to its fullest extent. Chorus.ai is playing in an emerging field where social proof is paramount to help our customers understand the value of our solution, as well as build the confidence they need to pull the trigger. We use TrustRadius heavily within the Marketing team, however many departments benefit from the output, including Product, Customer Success, and of course Sales.

  • Easy way to collect unbiased reviews of your product to use across the organization. They also make it easy to reward reviewers!
  • You can tag reviews based on categories you determine to help serve relevant reviews in the right widgets (automatically), or to pull a report for your teams to used based on the topics that are of most interest to them. TrustRadius can also help do the tagging for you.
  • My CSM is really on top of things! She provides tips and helps strategize ways we can use our reviews and make the most of them. She's also always looking for ways help make things easier for me, which is great given the time constraints I face.
  • Interface is simple, clean and easy to use.
  • Being in an emerging field, we run into issues where we get compared to solutions that don't really directly compete with us. Some of them are actually partners of ours but we get stacked up against them.
  • Reviewers can either rate or review your product. Ratings are a simple star rating, whereas reviews are a more detailed view of how the product is used. It would be great to have a seamless and un-intrusive way to ask reviewers to submit a full review instead of just a rating as that's where the true power of TrustRadius lies. Given how lengthy the review process is, it's understandable that people opt for simple ratings.
  • I'm still at the beginning of discovering all the ways we can use and implement the reviews, but it is quite a time-consuming process. While you want to push for more reviews you will then also have to manually tag each review to make the most of it. It would be amazing if there were an automated (or easier) way to do this.
  • It would be great if there were a way to encourage reviewers not to stay anonymous.
  • Cannot comment at this point in time
We've looked at G2 and Capterra, who have similar offerings. I see merit in all of them as I feel like they speak to a slightly different buyer and user persona. TrustRadius offers more thorough reviews and feels like it speaks more to the buyer than the user.
I cannot speak to KPIs so far, but I'm responsible for anything that drives social proof. Given this, it's been a great tool so far!
I'd have to say the quality really depends. You can get some phenomenal in-depth reviews that almost mirror a true case study, but at the same time you can get anonymous ratings without any context or ability to probe further which can really hurt your overall ranking. It's definitively great to be able to customize questions as our product has many different use cases. This allows us to capture all relevant use cases and provide relevant reviews for our different buyers.
If you are looking for ways to dial up your social proof and find ways to easily integrate it into other efforts (e.g. digital marketing campaigns) then it's a great tool. The downside is, that there is quite a bit of cross-functional work needed to truly make the most of this product offering!
