Overall Satisfaction with UKG Pro

We use UKG Pro as the ERP for all things HR-related. This includes compensation portal, benefits management, employee performance tracking and reviews as well as tax information tracking. Other modules that we use and appear to be stand-alone are Paid time off tracking as well as hourly data for all employees.

  • Benefits dashboard
  • PTO Tracking
  • Employee Reviews
  • Service Support
  • Helped centralize repository of HR Functions reducing work load for the majority of employees
  • Created a huge new workload for certain HR employees who have to manually track and manage certain platform functions
  • Created some uncertainty into the accurate tracking of PTO which caused doubt in reports, causing some employees to track themselves
Most Employee related tracking functions have been centralized, such as PTO tracking, available benefits, employee vital pertinents, organizational tracking information and visualization have all been centralized under the UKG Pro platform which helped track all more centrally, however, this function really is table stakes when it comes to these ERP HR platforms.
My main personal examples I can think of are two, one positive and one negative:
Positive experience, whenever working with a new or unknown member of the organization, I was quickly able to look them up using the visual org chart, which was generally accurate and this saved me having to bug others for this sometimes crucial info.
Negative experience: I personally lost PTO days because of a discrepancy in carry-over PTO hours from one calendar year to another which UKG Pro somehow was not able to track accurately ever. I was then forced to track myself going forward.
UKG Pro is comparable to the old WorkDay platform I was familiar with. One had advantages and disadvantages that the other did not have and vice versa. I don't know how that might have changed since I last used Workday many years ago, so they might be addressed by now. but fairly comparable.

Yes

UKG Pro may be best suited once subscribed to all the additional bells and whistles modules that cost extra. I put that out there to try and be fair, we did not subscribe to some of these since when it was originally purchased, many of these functions were already included and therefore, we did not feel we should have to re-subscribe. That said, the platform we use is in a limited function to the HR function and even there, it requires a lot more additional personal handholding and manual work of the system.
