Overall Satisfaction with UltiPro

The UltiPro software was implemented in early 2017. Fountain Tire uses the Core HR product to manage core HR processes as well as managing the payroll of over 2500 associates across Canada. The software is used by our Payroll and HR teams. It is also leveraged by Managers across the organization as well as associates.

The easy to use interface and workflows has led to many efficiencies in our teams that has enabled us to increase our capacity to take on new work.

  • Powerful Business Intelligence suite that is easy to learn, easy to use
  • Workflows with notifications
  • Pure Payroll Processing
  • Manager and Employee Self Service
  • Ability to have system time outs based on security role rather than one rule for all associates

Improved Payroll Processing efficiency and accuracy - achieved

Enhanced data analysis to help drive better strategic decisions (both at the Corporate level and at the local level) - achieved and continuing to make strides forward

Enhanced Manager led process efficiencies (Hiring, Terminations, Transfers, Vacation Management, Reporting, etc) - Working toward achieving this

System Convergence (having less HR systems, migrate to having one system) - We are working toward this outcome and are optimistic on achieving this outcome

During our RFP process, we narrowed the field down to three solutions - ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian Day Force, UltiPro. We believe the UltiPro system outperformed the other systems in the following ways:

- Business Intelligence (easy of use, functionality)

- User Interface

- Workflow engines

- Cloud-based back end

- Support and training

- Overall Functionality

- Company Culture (it is hard to quantify culture. However, now that we have become customers of UltiPro, the culture at Ultimate is unique and leads to have levels of customer support and innovation! This company has been highly rated - #7 - on Forbes top employers list for good reason).

- Customer network

I would recommend UltiPro in all situations. The software is intuitive, easy to use and has many great functional components. They have a many opportunities to learn how to use the system including free, in person workshops, conferences, webinars, recorded webinars within a portal. The customer network is also very strong which allows users of the system to share best practices and resources as well as ask questions of each other.

UltiPro Support

The Ultimate Software organization has a great culture and they provide excellent support from implementation to ongoing use. The software is superior to the other payroll systems on the market in terms of user experience, functionality, business intelligence reporting, integrations to other systems and bread/depth of HR and Payroll modules.

They have many types of support available including two different types of assigned representatives, an easy to navigate customer portal, free training (both in person and webinars multiple times monthly) and software demonstrations contained within the software.

Another important component is their highly active customer network. It is easy to connect to other customers and find best practices and answers to questions.

We are very satisfied with our partnership with Ultimate Software.
