Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Webex Meetings
We use it to collaborate with other Institutes and Universities, whether its a simple phone call or a video bridge.
- Converts the invite and links into email and calendars.
- Easy to use features.
- A recording is extremely valuable.
- Reliability for phone calls - sometimes the circuits are busy.
- More troubleshooting/self-diagnostic tools for the end-user.
- More of a heads up prior to implementing major updates.
- Has reduced the amount of travel.
- Has given us more options to attend meetings.
- Still on the pricey side, but it is the heavy hitter of the industry.
Same features - less cost and the ability to bundle phone services among other new features.
Webex Meetings Feature Ratings
Cisco Webex Experience
Our Company has greatly benefited from Cisco Webex Meetings. The ease of use has been tremendous and the ability to video-conference scheduled or on the fly makes collaboration very efficient and simple. Meeting rooms are quite beneficial as well as having the ability to record training sessions. This enables us to mesh in with the sudden work from home scenario.
As far as All-in-one goes, our company utilizes video and phone conferencing the most. At one point we used Jabber to interface with our phone calling. However, keeping up with a Webex app and a Jabber app became inefficient so we dropped Jabber. We utilize the chat feature within Webex during meetings which seems to work well during meetings. However, we often use google to chat, for the most part. We'd like to see more integration with Google.
I have no complaints about secure meetings when it comes to Cisco Webex Meetings. For added security we can utilize the password option. The only scenario for use would be for VIP meetings such as Board Meetings. The ability for users to become presenters works well as well and we haven't run into any issues with regard to managing that process.
Using Cisco Webex Meetings
250 - We have a license for 250 and we utilize a little over 200 licenses. Users consist of Researchers, Scientists and Administrative staff.
5 - General video and phone support skills are required to support Cisco Webex Meetings. If a technician understands another product this product falls in line with the others. They all pretty much work the same.
- Collaboration In-House
- Collaboration Externally
- Great for staying connected to fellow co-workers
- Since working from home it helps us stay connected with co-workers
- We easily adapted to working from home with this product
- Being that its cloud-based it has helped us manage the client updates
- Using it as opposed to visiting people face to face
- using it for virtual happy hours
Evaluating Webex Meetings and Competitors
- Price
- Product Features
- Product Usability
- Product Reputation
- Prior Experience with the Product
Product usablity is the most important factor if I had to choose one. The ability to easily create a meeting and add users to that meeting is immeasurable. Recipients don't have many issues when joining a meeting. We also do not receive many calls from our users on the Helpdesk.
I honestly wouldn't change a thing. The product works as advertised.
Webex Meetings Support
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
Quick Resolution Good followup Knowledgeable team Problems get solved Kept well informed No escalation required Immediate help available Support understands my problem Support cares about my success Quick Initial Response | None |
Yes - We can't afford any downtime.
Yes - We had an issue where a Cisco update to its Mac clients crashed some Macs. The client forced high CPU usage on many of the older systems. It took a couple of weeks to permanently fix the issue. We ended up forcing users to utilize the Web Browser for meetings.
When some of our Mac users reported issues connecting to meetings after a Cisco update Cisco support jumped on the issue and kept us informed the whole way. It took a couple of weeks to resolve, but they gave us work arounds during that time, which helped our business continue to work. Many times support calls end up in a black hole, but Cisco definitely stays ontop of our issues.
