Overall Satisfaction with Xactly Incent

Our company uses Xactly for commission calculations and order tracking. It is used across all of sales, which is thousands of users. I know it's being used in the United States, and I assume we also use it globally. It is considered the source of truth for payouts and for commission cases.
  • Consistent tracking.
  • Order tracking.
  • Commissions calculations.
  • Difficult to drill down when there's a clawback.
  • Doesn't always have the line item detail I need.
  • Takes ~2 weeks for early-in-month deals to hit the dashboard.
  • I use it less for ROI and more to get paid on my deals.
We don't have commissions benchmarking data available at my company, so I don't have a way of doing this. I would be interested if this is functionality that my company could expose to the individual contributors or end users.
We track our customer activities, including Leads, Contacts, Opportunities, Quoting, and Forecasting in Salesforce. Because our Salesforce is connected with Xactly, the deals I close automatically populate in Xactly.
I don't remember the names of the incentive tracking tools that my previous employers used. However, I can say that Xactly is very nimble, easy to navigate, and easy to understand. I have way more visibility into Xactly and how I get paid than I have in any previous role at any previous company.
Xactly does a great job tracking our deals and calculating our quotas. When everything is going well, Xactly is a 10/10. However, when a clawback hits or if something doesn't match up, it's not easy in our configuration of Xactly to drill down to the root cause and be able to ascertain why the clawback took place. We just get a bulk line item with no explanation.
