Overall Satisfaction with Xactly Incent

Providing our sales reps full visiblity to their incentive compensation calculations and their progress to their various quotas.
Providing our sales leaders an easy way to see their overall team incentive status and progress to quota.
A third party platform that calculates incentives.

  • ability to share full year incentive compensation and quota performance
  • access to detailed elements of how the incentive compensation was generated
  • very hard to make adjustments to anything in the platform
  • it is, therefore, costly to make those changes
  • it REALLY matters what technical resources they use on programming those changes
  • Complaints about visibility into incentive calculations dropped to zero
  • Cost to change incentive plans increased as we'd always handled that ourselves previously
  • Overall, use of Xactly has dramatically improved seller satisfaction with transparency into their incentive plans
Data we extract from Xactly enables us to identify where we need to tweak our incentive plans from year to year.
While Xactly contributes to our overall picture of our salesforce, we rely more on internal financial and front office systems to do high level sales planning.
We feed payroll and invoice data to Xactly. No integrations.
Sales Operations relies heavily on Xactly data to measure seller performance and provide sales leadership with the data they need to manage individual seller performance, territory planning, and various other critical functions.
Our Payroll function is a heavy user of Xactly in calculating incentive comp.
Our Finance function uses the output from Xactly in various ways from Board reports to internal budgeting processes.

If you have a large number of sales reps and complicated incentive comp plans, Xactly is one of the most powerful tools you can buy.

If you have a smaller sales force or a very simple incentive comp plan, this is likely too heavy for you.
