Overall Satisfaction with Xactly Incent

We use Xactly Incent to calculate and pay out commissions to our sales employees on a monthly basis. We also use Xactly Incent to supply data into CEA which our accounting team uses to manage commission expenses. We supply sales employees with access to the platform so they can view their incentive statements and see their commission details. We also utilize analytics to build reports that our team can use to validate outstanding commission amounts per employee. Xactly Incent allows us to reduce the amount of time that it would previously take to calculate commissions manually. We still perform manual verifications to ensure all calculations are correct, but we are working towards moving away from those files.

We are not currently utilizing this in our company.
We are not currently using Xactly Incent for this.
Integrating with these platforms has greatly reduced the amount of manual work that needs to be done to get monthly data into Incent. What used to require hours worth of work and multiple reports to be combined and added to an order upload has been reduced to minutes. Our company runs nightly processes to pull in new data while our sales employees are not in the system. We also have the ability to run these processes on an as needed basis to quickly pull in new data.
Our HR teams use the data within Xactly Incent to help with commission plan rate and quota adjustments based on current and historical data.
I have not used any other sales compensation products.

Xactly Incent is ideal for commission plans where management receives a separate rate for their individual sales and team sales, or makes no individual sales at all. The plan setup becomes complex and cumbersome when you have management that needs to have individual sales and team sales included in calculating their commission rate. Xactly Incent is not ideal if you handle commission plan documentation outside of Incent as there is not an easy way to upload those into the system. Year over year changes can be cumbersome with having to create a new calendar year, recreate process groups, and upload quotas for the new year. Outside of those constraints that cause the most headache for our team, I would highly recommend the software. Provided you have setup the rules and plans correctly, the calculation process is quicky and the reports (released, held, and credits) allow for easy troubleshooting when a plan isn't generating any results. Our end users like the functionality of the incentive statement, which makes it easy for them to see what their earned and paid commissions are for the month, quarter, and year. The system integrates well with our CRM and ERP (Salesforce and Netsuite).

Using Xactly Incent

We have two developers that handle the push of data into Connect from our CRM and accounting software. They also handle the pipelines in Connect and assist us with troubleshooting.

Xactly Incent is a great tool for calculating commissions. The interface is user friendly and the system is set up in a way that allows for multiple setups for each commission plan. Over the last couple years since I have been on the commission team we have been able to optimize our plans to promote scalability. Our sales and accounting teams have become familiar with navigating the system which promotes transparency. From an audit perspective, Incent provides us with the reports and data we need to provide to our auditors.

Xactly Incent Support

When submitting simple requests such as refreshing our sandbox environments the support team does a fantastic job and always turns the tickets around fast. When we have submitted other requests, we often find that we need to explain the issue multiple times and/or reference contacts within Xactly that have previously assisted us with similar issues. I will say that our CSM has been fantastic with escalating our tickets as soon as we bring them to his attention.

We do not have premium support. I was not on the team at the time the decision to purchase Incent was made so I cannot speak to why we did not purchase it.
Yes - It was resolved, however it took a couple months before the fix was released into the system. I understand the reasons behind the delay, however the workaround that we had to use while the bug was being resolved added time to our monthly processes.
One thing that I like about the product that I only found out recently was that if a process is running in the queue too long without finishing, a support ticket is automatically opened for the team to look into. I found this feature helpful.

Using Xactly Incent

From an admin perspective, the software's usability is high. The different components are organized in a way that is easy to figure out, for example, all elements of a plan are under the Plan Design section. There are some areas where searching within the system is a bit cumbersome because after clicking into a result and back out it clears your filter. I found the software easy to navigate when I first started and the amount of documentation and helpful videos they have on the community and within the University make the system even easier to learn.
