Overall Satisfaction with Xero

We use Xero for accounting and payroll purpose

  • ROI is pretty good on Xero
  • Compare to what you pay, Xero is one of the best products out there
  • With company needing more support Xero might be limited
They are all very similar products but Xero in my opinion has better user interface.

Overall, even with it's limitation Xero is still a good products, for both bookkeeper and accountant. It meets all the basic accounting requirement for AP, AR, payroll and tax requirements.
There are a lot of information available for Xero, as well as the community support from other people experiencing the same issue. you can also get Xero certification.
Xero is well suited if used for small/ medium business with relatively uncomplicated needs.
Xero becomes insufficient when the company has multiple entities and in needs for consolidation, although this can be solved with add-ons, but complicated accounting treatment is also quiet limited with Xero.
