Auvik works great for discovering a network, listing assets, documenting device connectivity details, and capturing configurations of many common network devices. It is more suited for larger or complex networks. It is probably overkill for small, flat networks with only a handful of network devices. We are very satisfied with their support.

LogMeIn Central

If you have remote employees that require training and you can't get to them. With [LogMeIn Central] it allows us to be able to log in and walk the trainees through the computer system and any other questions they may have.

  • Deployment - simple and easy to use. Allows for customization of the installs.
  • Mobility- The use of LogMeIn from a mobile device allows ultimate mobility for the tech.
  • Health Status - at one quick look you are able to see all the computers that need to be updated.

  • Lacks true network monitoring capabilities.
  • Needs a better database of equipment and what should be monitored on said equipment right out of the box.

  • Not compatible with all operating systems - It would be great if they rolled out to all platforms
  • Requires a good internet connection to keep a stable connection
  • Screen resolution could be improved as the quality of the remote desktop decreases and can sometimes be jittery

What I dont like is when I run out of licenses that the only way to get more is to buy large amounts. this is very frustrating and as a small business I need to watch how much i am spending. smaller license packs would be better

It would be really difficult to manage so many remote computers without LogMeIn Central. Before this, I would use other solutions but none that i've noticed are as well integrated or as feature packed as LogMeIn Central. On top of that, the easy of use and accessibility make LogMeIn Central a must have.

In the past six or so years I have been using LogMeIn Central I have never had any issues accessing the main dashboard unless my Internet was down. There has been times (not often) that the LogMeIn client has performed slowly but this could have been due to my own Internet connection. Overall it has been an extremely reliable service

We felt like Auvik provided much more detailed connectivity information than Traverse. In our specific environment, Auvik was less expensive than Traverse.I really meant IT Glue's product, Network Glue. My techs were already in love with Auvik as this product was being developed. We use IT Glue for documentation and we might choose different if we had to make the decision today.We've used What's Up Gold in the past and it was great as a monitoring product. I'm sure they have continued to develop more capabilities, but Auvik was stronger to us when focused on primarily network devices.

LogMeIn Central

We previously used Kaseya provided from a MSP and it was not reliable so it was not an option to continue. ManageEngine was good but the price and each part was separate so costs rose quickly. We had another option called FusionOne from another MSP but did not work as well as LogMeIn. Central had all parts in one place and made management much easier for a small IT team, Even though we are growing it is growing with us.
