One of the best things about FollowUp Power is that we can mark things for follow-up several months down the line, which we frequently have a need for since many of our clients are seasonal. For example, we'll get started working with them while they're here in Florida for the winter, then they'll head back north in the spring and not want to hear from us again until they return in the fall. With FollowUp Power, we can then mark them for follow up in the future rather than to have to somehow remember to contact them in the future.

  • We love the dashboard feature. This is where we spend the majority of our time. The dashboard helps us avoid missing bid dates and deadlines.
  • The system is very intuitive and a new user will be up to speed within one hour after they start using the system. There is only one place to enter all data. This allows for ease of use and minimizes data entry mistakes.
  • Every task is date stamped to insure proper work flow and holds the team accountable to each other.

  • It really needs to have the capability of listing numerous phone #s with a note beside each one ("his cell#", "her work#", "do not call before 9a.m.", etc.).
  • It really needs to have the capability of listing numerous e-mail addresses ("hers", "his", "her email address at work", etc.).
  • It would be nice to have a separate general information box where we could put comments in that would show every time we bring up the account (such as "her nickname is Bobbi", "their dogs name is Fido, "their son is currently stationed in France", "husband is going through chemotherapy", etc.), which would help us to remember personal details that are important to our clients.

  • Exception reports especially on the PPM module do not provide project details. This makes it difficult to troubleshoot issues at the project level
  • OTBI custom role creation is highly cumbersome and is not user friendly. Granting users read only access is heavily implementer dependent rather than making IT self sufficient
  • Some of the ESS jobs that end in error do not provide an option to attach error logs as attachment during notification
  • Expense reporting is cumbersome without voice activation. But voice activation is costly.

Oracle applications users group is a good starting point to learn about best practices and learn how other companies are leveraging the product.Oracle has built the product ground up using the latest technology. The product has the best features of all the companies oracle acquired in the last 10 years. Oracle has the highest portfolio of products in the market. You name a module, oracle has it. All these modules are tightly integrated and spread sheet friendly.

Yes availability was initially an issue but like I said it has evolved and stabilized a lot better these days. We get hardly 1 or two unplanned outages in a year. That too during off peak hours and would get resolved before we even realize it. If Oracle could resolve even the sporadic unplanned outages then it would be awesome and highly reliable for customers.

The subscription allowed our team to learn the nuts and bolts of the application.The subscription model helps access to all the modules as opposed to buying training for one module. We also leveraged guided learning subscription from Oracle. Guided learning is a state of the art learning application from Oracle. It resides within the application and guides the users on each and every step. This is learning by doing and is very effective.Once you buy guided learning, oracle keeps updating it with the release of new functionality in the quarterly upgrades.

Try to use the system as true to generic form as possible and cut over quickly. Parallel implementation is not recommended. If the numbers are accurate and materially similar to prior period - cut over. A small accounting adjustment is much better than millions in project overruns or dual system maintenance.

  • With better ways to watch what money we have coming and going it has freed up time to follow up with past-due accounts.
  • Overall peace of mind is one of the biggest things I like about this program. Having a program that lets you know what growth projections we could be looking at, or finding out we are having a downward turn of a certain product before it actually effects us lets our team get out in front of things.
