We use this for our daily work email/ setting up a group or team meetings/Calendar sharing to view other members' free/available times. We also use it to document our own project-related communications and share documents within the organization. It's a great tool to communicate/ meet other users and keep project documentation and other communication electronic copies within your account. It's a BIG help in avoiding printing all of the documentation and easy to find/ locate information.
  • Sharing your Schedule with other users.
  • Keeping record of your communications and Project documentations.
  • Easy to find or locate the information from old History.
  • View/ locate your day schedule and setting up recovering meetings.
  • Able to review your writings with AI, for example, Grammarly which tells the level of your writing and hints the errors/other details.
  • Allow users to backup their emails and restore on other accounts.
A great tool to keep all documents/information in electronic format. Very easy to locate/search it. Allows automating the emails to send them to proper project folders.

Within my organization, we use the Microsoft Exchange Server Outlook Web Access. For the most part, I have not run into any business problems with the amount of usage I may experience. I use Microsoft Exchange for connecting with other clients through Gmail, Yahoo, and other accounts also use Outlook to set up meetings and update my status.
  • Disable new Outlook for Windows
  • Manage Recipients
  • Mobile Access for shared content
For about two years my company has been using Microsoft Office 365. I believe it has helped out a lot with communication amongst the company. While working within the 365 platforms in Outlook we are able to manage cross-team projects better. Also, we have been able to use Yammer in order to improve company-wide communications.

We use Microsoft Exchange for all our employees, at our organization level as well as the client level. Our clients usually have remote VMs with different mailboxes, most of which also use Microsoft Exchange as the primary tool to manage all work needs. It is an excellent tool to work remotely, having an in-built calendar that helps with scheduling appointments and meetings and makes sure you do not miss any of them. The calendar is also well-organized to keep your daily schedule in check. The mailboxes themselves are feature-packed with the security and efficiency that comes with a brand name like Microsoft. I love the filtering and search option which lets you sort through your emails to find the most relevant ones. Working in a remote team that manages several applications, I get hundreds of emails daily that can be hard to navigate through to find the ones relevant to myself, but the Exchange sort/search feature makes it pretty easy. It can also look through deleted emails, which is a lifesaver. The storage issue is also not a bother. We also integrate it with O365, which gives you access to hundreds of more features with the entire Office bundle of applications, all over the cloud. Attaching and editing documents within the mailboxes itself saves a lot of time.
  • An in-built calendar to manage your daily work schedule. Let's you create events, invite a particular group of people, accept invitations, and remind you of your upcoming meetings and tasks.
  • I also like the daily emails we get from Exchange that ask you to set aside time for yourself or your other hobbies to take a short break from monotonous work.
  • The email categorization feature is pretty good, especially the sort/search filtering option to navigate through your emails, which can also go through your deleted emails.
  • It has an excellent spam-filtering feature which greatly reduces the chance of malware and spam. I have hardly seen spam emails get through their filter. On the other hand, it also recognizes emails from external organizations that may be spam, but are important work emails.
  • I wish there are more options in the email filters. For example, I have been unable to find a way to look for emails from a particular date without scrolling through all the emails containing particular keywords.
  • Third-party application integration isn't very well developed. It could have been a great option to widen the scope of usage for Exchange.
  • The UI is fine, but it could be a bit more robust and intuitive. Pop-ups and dialog boxes especially have poor design, which reduces the user experience.
Microsoft Exchange is one of the best options for an integrated email platform with O365 integration because no one does Office integrations like Microsoft. It is also relatively inexpensive for large organizations. The support team is also very helpful. Although I wish the sync between devices was smoother. It may be due to security issues, but sometimes I have trouble connecting on my phone to my organizational emails. You need a plethora of apps installed, which ask you to log in occasionally, which can be a pain when I just want to quickly go through my emails. This hasn't been a problem on iPhones though. Anyways, Exchange is the best choice for when you need to work a lot with emails and meetings and need a proper system to keep them all organized.

At previous employers, I also used Microsoft Exchange, and it has always performed admirably and provided solid, dependable email access. We prefer on-premise to hosted Exchange because it gives us complete control over both the architecture of our Exchange environment and the Exchange servers themselves. VMWare ESXi is also used to virtualize all of our Exchange servers. Microsoft Exchange is simply the best email solution available, and the on-premise version of that product is the best.
  • User management is simple. Creating, deleting, and moving mailboxes and distribution lists is simple.
  • The Active Directory integration is excellent. Once again, this is the best of the best.
  • Mobile device integration is possible. Integration with Microsoft Outlook is quick, easy, and effective.
  • Troubleshooting problems can be difficult. Even for seasoned Exchange Admins, some of the issues that arise are not particularly intuitive.
  • Exchange cost is costly, both in terms of hardware and, more importantly, in terms of software.
  • It's not something you want a novice to set up or manage. You'll need administrators who are familiar with Microsoft Exchange.
For many small businesses, on-premise Microsoft Exchange may be prohibitively expensive. Office 365 is a hosted Exchange option for small businesses that want the power of Exchange but can't afford the costs of installing and maintaining an on-premise Exchange instance. Microsoft Exchange is ideal for medium- to large-sized businesses. It's sturdy, powerful, and dependable. If you want the best email in the industry, Microsoft Exchange is the way to go. In this regard, there is literally no better product on the market.

Microsoft Exchange is one of the mail servers we used in our company which has a variety of tools to manage mailings and schedule meetings. This server can be used in an offline network as in our case and can support many users in terms of software manner. We can both use the mail server via application or web interface.
  • Integrate with microsoft products.
  • Robust, reliable mail service.
  • Can create tasks and schedule meetings over the interface.
  • Microsoft Exchange does not have a GUI application officially for Linux users.
  • Application does not respond if the server connection is down.
  • Rarely user application halts unexpectedly.
This application has a variety of solutions for user experiences, you can reach your mails over the official Microsoft exchange application, web interface, or even by an exchange plugin for another general-purpose mail client if you have a Linux os. This feature makes the Microsoft exchange server distinguishable as opposed to opponents. However, some third-party exchange server plugins are really buggy and do not reflect the full capability of the application. Hence it would be better for Microsoft to support other operating systems.

It's my default application email. I never had a problem in the 25 years that I have use it. I advise you to use it, you could do all features about email management. I integrate also the exchange server of my customer with API integration and it worked very well.
  • Rules
  • Filter
  • Search
  • Tagging
  • View additional mailbox in mobile device
It manages a lot of emails, it's good for searching with a lot of parameters, and it manages distribution lists and shared mailboxes. It is good for rules, sometimes I don't understand the logic con the unread email. It works offline very well. In comparison with Gmail, it has "annul features" while you're sending the email, and the tagging features in less friendly.

We have used Microsoft Exchange for the past 8 years for Emails, Calendars, and Contacts. Microsoft Exchange has good support for organizations which our company desperately needed. We have multiple companies and email domains and wanted a single place to manage mailboxes and user info. Microsoft Exchange helped us achieve this goal.
  • Mail Deliverability
  • SMTP Server Reliability
  • Support for Mobile devices
  • Could have better spam filtering.
  • Better Security.
  • Be more modern, without going to the cloud.
I would only recommend Exchange Server is on-premise email storage is absolutely necessary. For new companies looking for email hosting, I would go for Microsoft 365 instead. Exchange Server has lost any reputation for being secure in the past few years, and without a managed team, in-house or consultant, I don't think it's a good fit due to its maintenance requirements. It is NOT a set it and forgets it application. It needs backups configured, those need to be tested, it needs extra spam filtering software in my opinion, and it needs constant security patches.

Microsoft Exchange is like the heart for communicating in our Organization. We use it for basically all our communications. Microsoft exchange is used for doing follows on pending action items, sharing status updates to clients or users, syncing up with the team, etc. This is very easy to use and has all the features that an organization needs to work efficiently.
  • All in One Solution - From sending emails to setting reminder, it does all.
  • Ability to create variety of rules for receiving emails.
  • Multiple folders can be created and different retention policy can be applied.
  • Better view when multiple emails are opened.
  • Better filtering of spam emails.
  • Recovery of deleted emails can have more options.
I have been using Microsoft Exchange since the start of my professional career and its user-friendliness and ease of use helped me with the transition. It helped me in making my work efficient and allowed me to keep track of the tasks I am working on and allowed me to relevant updates to the stakeholders in a timely fashion.

Combined with Microsoft Outlook/Entourage, Hosted Exchange (Fresh Email) gives important informing highlights that go past straightforward email and permit business clients to assume command over their inbox. • Recovery of Sent Messages
  • Should be easy to use.
  • Enhanced security
  • Should have anti spam detection.
Microsoft Exchange was intended for ideal security and protection, with an assortment of elements at both the server and letter drop level. Microsoft Exchange Server utilizes Kerberos verification, an organization security convention that gives shared validation to an organization association. Extra security convention support incorporates Secure/Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (S/MIME), empowering clients to carefully sign and encode messages and connections or to get to their letter drops safely, without a VPN association, while working external organization firewalls. Against spam highlights incorporate the help of constant Safe and Block records and both server-side and client-side message sifting in Outlook to assist with diminishing how much spontaneous garbage email messages.

Microsoft Exchange is our corporate email communications system of choice. Allows our multinational workforce to communicate seamlessly and share files of all types. It also integrates well with all other Microsoft products, particularly the Teams application. Simply put it is the gold standard for email platforms.
  • Ease of management
  • Active Directory Integration
  • Great security features
  • Easy mailbox management
  • User comfort and familiarity are unmatched
  • Would love to be able to shrink database size.
  • Better built in spam filtering capabilities.
Simply put, Microsoft Exchange is the gold standard for your corporate email backbone needs. There is a reason for its incredibly large martketshare worldwide. Would not use anything else for email.

Exchange is our email and calendar system in our company. It's an essential piece for our employees to communicate, and an extremely important piece for IT, security, and compliance to manage communication within our company. We utilize Microsoft Exchange to store email and events, all inside of the M365 cloud family.
  • Managing emails to our users
  • Managing invites to our users
  • Message tracing
  • Inbox management
  • Admin center needs work, in my opinion it lacks key functions such as advanced message tracing.
  • Admin center phishing mitigation, currently this is locked behind defender.
  • A better shared mailbox experience. Once more users have them, it breaks down.
Microsoft Exchange is one of the most key functions a business could use if they choose to go with the Microsoft stack. Most organizations will naturally use this if they are in the M365 stack, and I recommend using the cloud version of Outlook as it has the exchange backend. Exchange is a great system due to its reliability and ease of use between platforms.

Used for Corporate messaging, private-label email domains for partners, custom mail handling, and responding in a hybrid cloud/on-prem landscape. Exchange solved several business problems involved around brand continuity, automated customer communications, mail routing and rule-based handling, threat recognition training, and DKIM signaturing. Our scope was all corporate users, as well as most of our portfolio of 30+ house-owned brands and partners, handling all aspects of partners' email messaging for clients.
  • Operational stability of migrating on-prem to cloud
  • Database resiliency and robustness
  • Robust message tracking
  • Reclaiming of Database 'whitespace'
  • Native DKIM and SPF creation wizards (non third party)
  • More robust and more granular Transport Rule programming
Microsoft Exchange is very well suited for industries with legal or regulatory messaging preservation requirements with the (historically) eDiscovery and legal holds functions. Companies needing a lot of mailboxes and resources with very few admins with limited experience with SMTP and messaging would do well to employ Exchange because of the readily available online resources and approachable interface and concepts.

I use this software to manage my corporate email accounts and calendars as well as my team's calendars. My responsibilities correspond to the management processes of many people with chronological actions between them, so the tasks coordinated from the email are a great tool that allows me to do a better follow-up.
  • Email management
  • Managing shared calendars
  • Task and topic tracking
  • Integration with cloud documents
In the field of coordinating agendas, and meetings, and following up on topics of conversation by searching for emails, it is excellent. The way of joining emails in the same conversation facilitates the search when you only remember one part of that conversation. It could improve its integration with OneNote and teams which sometimes feel like 3 completely separate worlds unless you really try, like including notes from a meeting or exporting a OneNote page to email.

We are currently using Microsoft Exchange, and it has gone very well for us to manage or administer mail. All our collaborators use it and are pleased. This system offers the widest range of options for teamwork and collaboration with other areas in multiple ways, as well as tracking time, efficiency metrics, and multitasking. Commercial problems I can mention; are the multiple packages that, when making use of, the administrators or users do not always get the most out of it. The scope is the work tool or system that is among the most valued within the company.
  • Synchronize your agenda with the project, which gives you a great advantage when working on a project.
  • Manage your emails in an easy and agile way.
  • Provides a high level of security for all users.
  • It has the ability to sync with other collaborative tools.
  • As a start, if the price of licenses were lowered a little, you would help many small companies.
  • Increasing the storage space of the mailboxes in the same way if it could be increased would be an excellent plus for end-users.
  • If I could add some way that users could see the emails they have in quarantine, that would be great.
In my experience, Microsoft Exchange is ideal in all business environments, whether they are small companies or very large companies. It gives many advantages when it comes to managing mail for security, ease, or economy. I rate this system 10 out of 10 because, at the moment, all my users, including senior managers, are satisfied with this product. I recommend this system to my tech colleagues to check it out and try it out.

I use Microsoft Exchange every day to manage emails and other Microsoft apps. Exchange helps me keep everything I need in order and greatly increases my productivity with its ease of use and ability to send group notifications. I love the ability to sync throughout the apps I use and send emails with just a couple of clicks. I can send things to OneNote, Teams, SharePoint, etc. Exchange really makes my life much easier without having to use multiple programs.
  • Sharing files
  • Group notifications
  • Messaging
  • More plugins would be great
  • Advanced task management
  • Sharing with others outside my organization
Microsoft Exchange is perfect when working from home/remotely, any office position where it's necessary to inform multiple people of the same thing. Anyone who manages multiple people/appointments/projects would greatly benefit from all of the features Exchange has to offer. File sharing is so easy and fast with Microsoft Exchange, anyone who collaborates professionally with others will love the program.

We use Microsoft Exchange in our organization to manage and send outbound emails from our on-premise servers. We have a hybrid environment and it's not always practical for mail to be sent from non-Microsoft servers through M365 due to limitations of the cloud. Using Exchange allows us to granularly apply options and specific parameters that M365 doesn't permit.
  • SMTP is reliable
  • Ease of use
  • Redundancy, reliability
  • Logging
  • Updates and security can be improved
  • Migration can be difficult
  • Backup and recovery can be difficult
Microsoft Exchange is a staunch standard in the field, and there are very few scenarios where it is less than ideal. Being that Microsoft can often be late on a zero-day response, high-risk environments may wish to consider a higher security platform or at least bolstering security with a product such as Barracuda or Avanan.

Microsoft Exchange is the organisations main mail server, a decision was made to shift to O360 so any in house servers are deemed as legacy servers, though certain older applications cannot deal with O360 therefore some locall hosted exchange servers exist to bridge this gap. Overall exchange in its latest guise doesn't really have any issues if used alongside O360, throttle was always one issue and organisation bandwidth but utilising a hybrid solution best of both worlds can be achieved.
  • Mail tracking
  • Plethora of mail types
  • Easy mailbox take-on from other mail systems
  • Very scaleable
  • Mass mailing
  • Resilience unless hybrid
  • Mailbox disengagement retrieval
Well suited to most organisations, is a very scaleable product and if used in conjunction with O365, then can provide an all round mail solution that has protection and deals with most scenarios. I have on quite a few projects instigated this dual approach where there is a need to retain a local presence. O365 Exchange on its own is quite a basic tool in comparison and could facilitate the extra functionality of the full product making it a better user experience.

Microsoft Exchange is used as one of the key services of the Office suite that we use. We mainly use it for email, and in integration with all the other Microsoft services we use.
  • Easy Integration with Microsoft products
  • Reliable Email Service
  • Great mobile and desktop app support
  • Integration with newer Microsoft products like Teams could be less buggy
  • More support integrating with non-Microsoft products
  • Feature synchronization with overlapping Microsoft products like Teams (e.g. calendar)
As an Enterprise service, Microsoft has done well to cater to the business needs of organizations with its strong suite of products that Microsoft Exchange is a part of. It is a relatively user friendly, reliable, and secure service that integrates will with other leading Microsoft Enterprise services like Active Directory. This makes it a very easy choice for any business organization to cover all their needs.

I have used Microsoft Exchange for years over various companies. It is extremely useful when searching for and recalling archived information of any kind on the server. This helps prevent losing any important details, and makes it easy when needing to find them. You never have to worry about losing something forever.
  • Recall info
  • Sorting
  • Organizing
  • User interface needs an update
  • Sometimes not entirely accurate
Microsoft Exchange is well suited in all situations where finding archived info, emails, photos, etc. may be needed. This happens daily while working in most jobs, especially when needing to reference something. Everyday we are bombarded with tons of information, it is hard to retain it all - this helps you reference anything if needed.

We currently use it as the primary tool to manage all our email addresses, distribution lists and shared mailboxes in our organization. When our parent company bought us, it helped manage all the migrated mailboxes from our Lime Energy Tenant to their own tenant. We have a hybrid setup where we have a local Microsoft Exchange that syncs to the cloud and also syncs to our On-Premise Active Directory. This serves as the central management of mailboxes etc.
  • Ease of Mailbox Management
  • Ease of managing all Shared mailboxes and Distribution list
  • Great to to manage Exchange Global Rules and Alerts
  • Page Load times
This is well suited if you need to check the status of newly created mailboxes, converting mailboxes to a shared mailbox, managing distribution lists.

We use Microsoft exchange to handle our inter-email communications and meetings/events calendar. We create distribution lists for different departments and teams to share regular communications and file sharing. Exchange makes it accessible to work with email accounts from different workspaces to include remote or at different work sites.
  • Email server
  • Calendar events organizing
  • Dissemination to distribution lists
  • Email organization by category or importance
  • Automated distributions
  • Combining calendar events with other platform resources
  • Needs more organization concepts
Microsoft exchange is well suited for corporate communications on the general scale and standard calendar event planning for any employee's schedule. However, it is not as well suited for small group or teams specific communications to support file sharing and resource management. Some event management features are cumbersome and difficult to work with.

Exchange is used our entire organization. We do have 2 branches, one in Seattle, WA and the other in Kansas City, MO, as well as a few employees who work onsite in a variety of states. Exchange is used to communicate with these employees all at once to make sure everyone receives the same information without having to call or spend money mailing various literature.
  • We use the calendar function the most. With 8 managing partners, and 40 staff members it helps us keep track of who is in the office, who is in a meeting and which conference room is being used. It is also used to keep track of who is using video conference so we can keep the streaming down during those moments.
  • I personally love that the email files you can create to organize your emails. I am balancing several different functions so it necessary to be able to quickly access and locate emails.
  • We use group emails the most. It is a great tool to have for our project managers. When you have larger projects with several different consultants and team members, it is easier to create a contact list of all those involved than to remember each persons email ever time you need to send something out.
  • When using a grouped email list, if you want to see who is in that list you have to expand it. However, a warning comes up that tells you once you expand it you cant collapse it. So the only way to verify who is in that list is to go into the properties of it and click through the list. It would be nice if the collapse feature was still available.

The IT team uses it the most but almost everyone in the organization uses the platform for Outlook and other Microsoft functions. We don’t have many noticeable issues. The user side is fine, we have regularly scheduled updates and fixes during non business hours.
  • Easy to use.
  • Format is up to date.
  • Updates have been often but helpful.
  • Speed, there is lag from time to time.
  • Updates impact other programs which is a common issue.

With a program so frequently used, people get better at self fixing common bugs. We like to use it because it’s affordable, reliable and well known.

We use [Microsoft] Exchange (both on premise and online, in a hybrid setup at this point) for an organization wide email and communication solution. It is the basis for the majority of communication both internally and with external clients and customers. It allows all of our devices, both mobile and otherwise, to have on centralized location for most of our companies communication needs.
  • [Microsoft] Exchange is the gold standard for Corporate email. It is flawless in maintaining and delivering email to all of our users. It has been around so long the thing it does the best is just work. Most of the flaws and bugs are already out of the system.
  • The GUI management tools for MS Exchange, whether Online or on-premise, are fairly well documented and for the most part fairly easy to use.
  • [Microsoft] Exchange gives you the option to have an all in one box solution. Its not recommended but for smaller shops its a nice alternative to a more extensive setup that requires multiple servers.
  • If sized correctly, MS Exchanges is fine tuned out of the box to be fairly quick and responsive as to email delivery.
  • [Microsoft] Exchange is best used with MS's Outlook Email client. Trying to use it with third party options, including mobile possibilities, limits some of the capability a use may have.
  • If an on-premise [Microsoft] Exchange server has an issue and data corruption takes place, the method in which MS uses mail logging to restore a system can be overly complicated and take an extensive amount of time.
  • If the admin need you have is not included in the Graphic interface one has to move to using Powershell to get some basic tasks done. This is a bit cumbersome for part time Exchange admins.
  • Setting up Exchange to be fault tolerant can be a cumbersome process.
[Microsoft] Exchange is well suited for any organization that uses or plans on using Microsoft products as part of their offering. Almost all versions of Office come with the Outlook client and that sets up the expectation that those organizations will also use Exchange, whether Online or On-Premise, for their service side needs. In addition it is used so widely in corporations that finding support is much easier than some lesser known situations so its safe to use even in smaller shops where full time IT is not on staff. If your business is one that focuses on Google or open source products, trying to shoe horn Exchange into your environment is probably not the best choice as it would needlessly complicate your infrastructure.
