Use Cases and Deployment Scope

8x8 X Series is used for our customers to contact Rolodex. We routinely call out using the app or the PC application. We have used it for sending and receiving faxes as well. It is the backbone of our telephone communication system, and we use it each and every day!

Pros and Cons

It sends and receives faxes very well. We don't send many faxes and do not have a fax machine. We have saved close to $100 in fax fees that would have been charged at office stores.
When customer contact information is loaded directly into the system, dialing requires a click. This saves lots of time.
Texting is seamless and we can text customers from our PCs! Great!

The app takes a bit of time to connect to incoming calls. We have to take a breath before saying hello after answering a call.
I would like to be able to send group texts from the desktop app.

Return on Investment

We are very happy with the value for the price paid.
We have saved lots of money on sending and receiving faxes.
8x8 is recognized as a "real" phone provider for business credit. This has been a great benefit for us.

Alternatives Considered

We were referred to 8x8 by a business credit coach. It has been great for business credit, for customer management, cold calling, and managing incoming calls and texts. It has worked very well for us in many unexpected ways, and we are very happy with the product.

Support Rating

Whenever I call the customer support people, they are very helpful. Early in our use of the product, we configured something incorrectly and couldn't figure out how to fix it. I called customer service and they quickly explain how to fix it after making a few changes on their end. Very helpful!

Likelihood to Recommend

I strongly recommend 8x8 X Series for virtual offices or offices where several people need to be able to answer phone calls even when they are not at the office. We do not use the function allowing calls to ring multiple users yet, but we have been able to allow multiple employees to answer incoming calls from anywhere (serially). It works great!

Offers full suite of phone management products and is a great value for small businesses
