Overall Satisfaction with ActiveCampaign
We are currently using ActiveCampaign for a couple of different things. The main usage is a long term drip campaign that all of our users cycle through. It is set up specifically to target users based on the products they purchased and help them understand how to better use the products and then encourage them to try other products that fit with what they have purchased. Once they have completed that cycle, they are dumped into our long term nurture campaign and receive a series of emails that repeats every 12 months. The email paths that they initially enter into will change as they take certain actions and it works amazingly well. We also use ActiveCampaign as a way to deliver special announcements like sales, promos, new items, etc.
- Negative assumption campaigns. Easy to set up and maintain. Great stats to show you open rates, conversions, clicks, etc.
- Long term nurture campaigns.
- Seamless integration with Shopify Plus, which was a must for our business. This is so simple to connect and show all relevant user data, from orders to money spent and more.
- Can't think of anything that we find lacking. We have been very happy since switching over to ActiveCampaign and it meets or exceeds all of our needs.
- We had an immediate ROI, mainly because we changed over from Infusionsoft and ActiveCampaign cost less on a monthly basis. It also connects directly to Shopify Plus, which saved us even more time, money, and headaches because Infusionsoft didn't tie directly in. Once we moved over all of our campaigns, which did take a lot of work, everything got immediately better and improved. With the direct tie in, all customer data came through without any problems, delays, or gaps and gave us way more insight into how our campaigns were performing. We couldn't be happier with the change.
ActiveCampaign is far superior in our minds. The most important feature for us is the integration with Shopify Plus. This works far far far better than anything we ever tried with Infusionsoft. We used various connections, which cost us money to use and implement, to various degrees of success. With ActiveCampaign, the data comes across immediately and without any other connectors. This one feature alone was enough to justify the changeover. In addition, campaign creation is simpler in some regards and just as laden with tools, features, and options. It also saves us close to $2500 per year to use, which is just icing on the cake. Overall, there is no comparison in our minds.

5 - Marketing and customer service. The marketing guys use it for managing all long term communications with customers, from newsletters to promotions to negative assumption campaigns. They are using it to deliver pdfs and attachments that educate and teach our customers how to better use our products and get them to make additional purchases. The customer service team will use ActiveCampaign to see what information the customer has and how they can better answer their questions.
1 - If you have ever used any sort of customer retention or management software, you should be fine using ActiveCampaign. Some sense of developing is helpful so that you can build out effective campaigns that have the look and feel you are going for, but the simple WYSIWYG editor works great if your HTML/CSS skills are a little lacking. Play with it for a bit and you get things dialed in pretty quickly.

- Huge negative assumption campaigns for almost every product in our catalog. When someone buys one, they get a series of emails designed to educate and help them get maximum usage from the product. It then also helps them to make future purchases.
- Long term nurturing of customers. This manages a weekly email that long term customers get, just to stay connected with them and encourage them to keep using our products so that they will order again.
- We will continue to expand our product-specific series of emails.
- We are using it to target non-buyers and continue to test ways of getting more of those people off of the fence to make a purchase.
