Prior to using Active Campaign, we relied on Mail Chimp for our email marketing. As we tell our students and clients, Mail Chimp serves a great purpose when you're getting started in business as it allows you to begin list-building right away and get your email marketing efforts up and running quickly. However, the automation, segmentation, and reporting features in Mail Chimp are sorely lacking compared to what Active Campaign provides.
Kajabi, on the other hand, is the platform we rely on for our brand website, landing pages, and course/program hosting. Kajabi offers email marketing features as well and advertises themselves as the "all-in-one" platform. However, we found that the email marketing, automation, list & segmentation options, and reporting features in Kajabi pale in comparison to Active Campaign. Active Campaign's ease-of-use alone has saved us hundreds of hours of time when it comes to building and maintaining our email marketing sequences, in ways that other platforms could not provide.
